what is the WORST smelling fragrance - Page 2

All 1 star scents IMO

Montale Aoud Red Flowers
Montale Mukhallat
Montale Musk to Musk
Montale Original Aoud
Montale Boise Vanille
Mazzolari Mazzolari
By Kilian Straight to Heaven
Comme des Garcons 2
Tam Dao
Trouble by Boucheron
Xerjoff XXY
Molecule 01
Molecule 02

I also hate La Nuit de L'Homme - it is sweet and flat. A derivative, tonka-bomb.
Secretions Magnifique for me. I literally had to wash with Soft Scrub to get it off my hand. Even then, I couldn't scrub it from my mind.
Armani Eau Pour Homme, It could be worst and best synchronic.
Boss Element.
Cool Water and GIT

As to the others here, funny ' coz some of the ones mentioned are in my active rotation : Mediteraneum and Rive Gauche :P Love 'em both.

Dolce and Gabbana The One for Men. It's just gross.
Burberry London for men
Lanvin pour homme Sport
+1 Le Male, +1 Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed. I consciously avoid sitting too close to those sillage clouds in the tube, they are hideous when overapplied.
Etienne Aigner X Limited.
My vote goes to leLabo's Patchouli. Dreadful. Smells like sweaty mildewed socks.

I think you spelled MKK wrong. ;-)

That's my vote. I've tried and tried and tried to find the appeal, but no dice.

There's lots of dime-a-dozen mainstream stuff listed in this thread.....I find most of the scents mentioned extremely boring, but certainly not offensive. I mean, that's generally what they're after. What's one sweet syntheric mess got vs another, when I'm talking about something that actually smells like poo?
There are loads that I've tried and didn't like, but I appreciated them all the same. Mind you, there was a hint of "Emperors New Clothes" about some of them, IMHO.

However, I must agree with MKK. Also, Creed Royal Delight makes me feel nauseous.
Very Irrésistible really stink big time. Im surpriced no one has mentioned it yet.
Hanae Mori. Does anybody else get the headache-inducing burnt hair note from this one?

No, I really enjoy that frag. But, what appeals to one might smell like crappola to another.

The ones that I dislike goes like this:

One Million
Eternity for men
Poison (the original formulation, I was in Paris when it debuted and the whole city smelled like this. Nauseating )
Black XS
Fahrenheit(every variation there of, sorry I dont get it)
Burberry anything(smells like wet horse blankets)
Tabac
Grey Flannel

That was cathartic, thank you for the thread.
Cool Water... I have taken to calling it stool water.....

I wonder if there is anyone who despises A*Men but loves one of the flankers, Pure Malt or Pure Coffee?
The first time I smelled Borneo 1834 it immediately reminded me of a putrefying wound.
ISSEY MYAKE ,this one makes me sick immediately when I smell it.
Yatagan. I'd rather roll around in dogsh*t....and then go for that interview!

Orange Canelle by L'Occitane. Too disgusting for words.
drakkar noir, one man show, boss no.1, lagerfeld classic, fahrenheit spring to mind instantly.
Drakkar Noir has to be at the top of the list. Overpowering, outdated 1980's biker fragrance, still ubiquitous among the tank-top crowd.

Dishonourable mention goes to Quorum, Boss #1, Lancome Hypnose and Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche.
Grey Flannel
Gucci pour homme ll I really wanted to like the gucci but hate it glad I only bought the 1.7 I liked it in the store but after using it once I found it sickening.

I would say Brut isnt really wearable for me. There's something in it that tickles my gag reflex.

Dana Canoe

Paul Sebastian Design - Just disgusting.

Burberry Sport - Boring and nauseating.

Hugo Energize - Smells like the inside of an old gumball machine.
Well Im thinking maybe Dior Fahrenheit...i use to like it, now not so much. My brother cant stand it when he smells it...and I can kinda see why. Its not as good as it use to be. But it gets great reviews usually.
Beyond Paradise for Men - This effluvium brings h*ll to mind.

its really weird. i used to absolutely love brit. i used to love it just as much as any other fragrance in my wardrobe, but one time i wore it and i realized...im over it. It got annoying to me. Maybe it was just a bad day, but i havent worn it since.

also, another fragrance i think absolutely sucks is Kenzo Pour Homme. Hate it. Sprayed it on a test strip at Sephora YUCK

I wouldn't exactly use the word sucks, but I would agree it's bad. I received a sample of this from a fellow basenoter and it smells like stale olives. I thought that it would just be the top notes and develop into something nice, but nope. Kenzo still has some other good ones though.

I find that logic.
Jicky smells "vomit" to my nose coz of the lavanda accord mixed with vanilla... And Jicky was used as a base for create Shalimar later .

i finally found the worst fragrance on the earth: davidoff champion!
Aramis Classic is particularly vile.

Guerlain Vetiver
Im also guna have to admit, im not a fan of Davidoff Coolwater and its laundry soap notes...
Oh and "Gold" by Amouage is also pretty grim.

Unfortunately I hated it from the first smell, and hated it even more when I decided to give it a second chance. Needless to say I didn't buy it!

I guess it all comes down to whether you want to smell nice, or whether you want to smell like a Thorntons sweet shop.
C2G man (original).

I cant stand cloves. cloves. cloves *barf*

I like the honey in kouros but the clove in it was stomach churning
post #113 of 194
Another vote for MKK. I can't believe they managed to bottle body odor.
1 Million, Hugo, Only the Brave etc.
For me, the worst I've smelled was Dior Homme Sport. I've had others I didn't like, but this was a true scrubber.
If you can still find it somewhere, Davidoff's What About Adam? is my candidate for worst smelling scent (i.e. a scent that was actually meant to be worn - I don't think Dirt or Secretions qualify).
I'm sure there are people out there who like this tomato leaf scent, but I think it would have smelled better had they used tomato leaf insecticide.

I think there is some generational thing going on with Aramis. I gave a small bottle to my nephew - who usually likes my choices - but he detested it, and gave it back to me. His brother didn't want it either

My pick still has to be Beyond Paradise for Men.

For me, Grey Flannel at the top, stuff is disgusting. Total crap. Also both of the Play's really smelled disgusting to me. The original gave me a stomach ache when I smelled it for the first time.
Fahrenheit by Dior = A gag-inducing stench of gasoline, motor oil and vomit. It's not just bad, cheap, synthetic, it's nasty.
