Both of these are loud unique scents that are sweet and dark at the same time. They give off a similar vibe while being quite different from another. Which do you prefer overall and why?

I have M7, but I have never smelled Silver factory. I am really curious to the responses of people on this one. At least I know one of the scents, I can base it from there then to compare Silver Factory.

I prefer Silver Factory although on me there's almost no sweetness in it. It's all about incense an patchouli which I prefer. On the other side, besides the aromatic woody notes, M7 always makes me think of cherries. It's juicier while Silver Factory is drier. Finally in the vein of M7 I like better Lalique Equus: same precious woods / cherry impression, much more refined imo.

OK, since I'm doing the "business travel week with a bunch of samples" (per several other posts this week), I dug into the bag of samples and yep, Silver Factory is in there. So it's now late at night in my hotel room, ditched the business associates, and I can give Silver Factory a little try out. First impressions:

1. No, not as fine as M7, but it is good stuff.
2. Some odd notes in there - I'm getting flashes of this "wet cardboard" smell
3. I am a big, big fan of Andy Warhol's work, and I'm a little annoyed at Bond No. 9 attempting to cash in on his brilliant legacy.

Overall, it seems that Silver Factory has the potential to develop and re-develop over several hours. It's too early for me to make a final decision. But I am quite confident: M7 whups it.

M7 is a much more interesting and finely crafted fragrance, no question.

Silver Factory, while one of the better frags in the Bond line, suffers from the same lack of dimensionality that most of their fragrances do. And I too have problems with their co-opting Warhol's artistic legacy.

M7 is great and it`s my favorite fragrance, but i picked Silver Factory because it seems more easier to wear.
