Hello everyone!

I'm so happy to be joining cello in the Rosines this morning - I'm in Rose Kashmirie...but let me tell you miss cello, you smell incredible! That Diabolo Rose is perhaps my favorite from this house, top two for sure. I can't wait to get my mitts on a full bottle of that one!

Y'all have a wonderful day!

All of the talk on the iris thread yesterday got me itching to wear this today. What a lovely iris fragrance!

Ms E, my rose sampling brought me to this house, and I like Diabolo Rose. I also have a sample of your SOTD Rose Kashmirie to try soon. I'll be curious how different it is from Saffran Troublant, which I already own.

Happy Birthday, UnProfumoAffettuoso!

I really missed being able to use my own scent wardrobe so I have ended the switching wardrobe thingy this morning. Today I am in AL No. 23. Mmmmm. (Sometimes, although not often enough, it is good to be me.) Take care, all!

cello, I don't find Rose Kashmirie and Safran Troublant similar at all aside from the detectable saffron note. RK is much denser first of all, much more opulent, and it's also very powdery and ambery. It reminds me of Lalique Le Parfum plus a big ol' rose, and also of the original Ombre Rose by Brosseau with amped up spices and roses. I love Safran Troublant too, but they're very different - ST is much more subtle, smoother and creamier, and more edible smelling than RK. To me it's straightforward rose, saffron, vanilla and sandalwood - simple and charming. Really, the only reason I took it off my wish list is its lack of longevity...four hours is usually the most I could eke from it, which didn't seem like a problem at first but it ended up annoying me. I seem to have that problem with L'Artisans - they're wonderful, but so fleeting on me.

Anyway, I'll be interested to read about your experience with Rose Kashmirie - I'm not sure it's your usual cup o' tea, but you never know! Bois des Iles and Coromandel are opulent too, so you just may love it!

Guerlain's Tonka Impériale. I finally succumbed to the L'Art et la Matiére line with this and Bois d'Arménie. I generally find this line a bit dull and shapeless compared to Guerlain standards, but these two have their charm. I'm quite happy about them.

I've been "sick" for over a week but just saw my doctor who thinks it's just seasonal allergies. Yay! I feel better already.
Coincidentally, I'm wearing a scent that smells like the allergens I may be suffering from. I know this has Angelica - I wonder if Angelica grows in the foothills here... Hm. Anyhoo...
Pierre Bourdon for Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Bois D'Orage (yes, aka French Lover but my bottle says Bois D'Orage so I'm sticking to it).
One of my happiest-making fragrances. Big grin!
Hello all
I'm in Andy Tauer's delightfully rich Un Rose Chypree. I get no rose from this (good from my point of view as I'm not a lover of powerfully rosy scents unless they're growing on a bush in my garden). However, it has a wonderful dollop of sexy oakmoss in the base, which lingers lovingly on my skin all day. This is an 'old school' perfume to my nose and if I was sniffing it blind I wouldn't be surprised to discover it was some long-forgotten vintage 'fume from way back.

Hoping you are all having a good day, wherever you are.

Haha, it's the bottle I've included in my post,
it was sold until resently, but not anymore.
Now, it's sold as part of the 'Les Créations de
Monsieur Dior'
lineup in a new flacon.
So to sum up; it's not sold anymore, but at the
same time not old enough to really be vintage!

Comprende?!

SotD, reapplied twice - Montale - Aoud Damascus .
This smells absolutely wonderful on my skin! For something like two hours.
Arent Montales supposed to have longetivity? This is the second sample Motale Aoud that fails me.
For SotE : a drop of Le Labo Rose 31.

Hey, gang. Jumping the gun on Saturday's SnS with an amber: JM Dark Amber & Ginger Lily.
Milou, most Montales last on me for days, not hours. Love your roses though.

Duc, how is Elephant treating you? I can do it, in micro doses when it is -30C outside and quite drafty inside. I also like it when I am with an ole good cuppa with cinnamon, ginger, cloves, the works. Otherwise, I am crushed by that power. I find Mauboussin Histoire d'Eau (Topaze, of course!) more agreeable than Elephant. On the other note, have you tried Kenzo Jungle Le Tigre yet?

#5 Eau Premiere for the afternoon.

I have loved this frag from first sniff, and it loves me.
You know Imma sucker for strong scents, and this is
indeed a very strong scent.
It reminds me of x-mas and other good things.
I do not find it overwelming at all, but then again, I
do wear a lot of heavy hitters, so I dunno ...

Thank You Twolf, this is what I keep hearing. It makes me suspicious of my "testresults".
I better try a fresh sample from elsewhere next time.

Grand Duc,
I'm late today signing on but just checking on the SOTD, Like you, I have been wearing Jungle L'Elephant. I love it too! Have you tried Le Tigre? I can't find any to try.
