Dior or Guerlain random purchase day

I have randomly decided to purchase something from either Dior or Guerlain tomorrow.

Please, hit me with some recommendations and let me know why.

I could go for two. So maybe give me something dramatic and something a little less explosive.

Hm.. well since it's getting colder you may try L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme and/or Dior Homme Intense!

Dramatic? perhaps Fahrenheit. See, in my opinion Dior fragrances do a great job in catching your attention with the opening with some interesting top notes. In the other hand Guerlain gives you a more interesting experience Its like comparing a Kawasaki with a Harley Davidson.
Try Vetiver, Homme and L Instant Extreme as the older Guerlains require an acquired taste.

(I have most Dior and most Guerlains)

Random purchases are great

If it is a Dior, I recommend Fahrenheit Absolute. It hints at the original in the opening notes, but then goes its own way. The oudh note is blended in quite nice. I would say much better for cooler weather. I just like it and am happy I have a bottle.

If it is a Guerlain, I would say go for Habit Rouge in the EDC concentration. I do not know for sure if they still make this one ( in the EDC), but I like it. Opening is more citrusy than the EDT. Seems to have a prominent lime note, to me at least. Then, the dry down is similar to the EDT, but somewhat lighter and easier going. That may be vague, but its nice. It is a more wearable version of a classic on a day to day basis. Not the best radiance after an hour, however. So, if you do not mind your fragrance to be kept close, this should be fine.

Guerlain: Eau de Guerlain and/or Derby
