Most unique citrus?

All the discussion about Bleue got me thinking about citrus scents. I must say that citrus scents aren't too memorable for me, and in my wardrobe, I've only got like 3 citrus fragrances: Bois Blond, Monsieur Balmain and Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir.

What citrus scents would you recommend?

Diptyque Oeydo and Parfum d'Empire Yuzu Fou are pretty unique.
Also L'Eau Mixte by Parfums de Nicolaï.

I don't know how UNIQUE they are, but two of my favorite citrus frags are

I'm with you on citrus; I tend to find it leaves me cold most of the time...

Given my own experiences and your taste as evinced by your wardrobe, I recommend Frederic Malle Bigarade Concentree. It's still my favorite "purist" citrus, a very attractive hay-like, mildly dirty orange peel.

Hmm, do you mean Bois Blonds? (It's a citrus fragrance, unlike Bois Blond.)

I'd second several that have been mentioned (especially Oyedo and VIW) and add Citrus Paradisi (earthy, spicy grapefruit) and Ninfeo Mio (citrus blended with green notes and salty fig). Citrus Paradisi wears well in cool as well as warm weather. Ninfeo Mio is more of a summertime scent, but I like to pull those out in the middle of winter, too, as a sort of vacation-in-a-bottle.

creed zest mandarin pamplemousse*(i'm sure i spelled that wrong) is the most interesting imo. light enough for summer yet long lasting enought for winter.

Tuscan Soul by S. Farragamo, a burst of citric smorgasbord that will delight anybody, however it is one of those schizofrenic longevity monsters, one day is gone in 2 hrs, next day it lasts all day long. My second favorite citric fragrance is pure Cedrat by Azzaro and also consider Jordache for Men, no the knock-off Jordaches that you find in the 99 cents stores, but the real Jordache for men, so lemony citric you mouth will pucker LOL

I think Citrus Paradisi is a very unique approach to citric fragrances. It does not get a lot of love because it opens rather harsh and animalic, it has a "urine" note hard to handle BUT I like it a lot.

I`m not a big fan of citrus-scents, but there is one citrus-chypre scent that i like very much. Boucheron Pour homme EDPis a classical, formal, refined fragrance with a luxurious aura. Perfect for day and night, and 2 sprays last for 24 hours! Don`t let the ultra-lemony opening scare you. After 30 min it settles down to something realy classy! The beautiful EDP bottle is a jewel.

I had Maison Francis Kurkdjian - Absolue Pour Le Matin from the Luckyscent Fall pack on my arm yesterday... definitely going back to that one for a proper wear.

C&S Citrus Paradisi certainly is ... uh ... unique. It even looks like a urine sample. I gave it a very good try but it got the better of me.

If you want quality and unique, then my top picks are:

ANTIMATERIA

CARAMELLA CHE PIZZICA (tickling candy): Citrus fruits, very fresh. It recreate the strong citrus fruited smell and taste of a famous Italian candy.

PANNI STESI AL SOLE (sheets hanging out in the sun): A citrus fougere. Clean fresh clothes, just washed and dried in the sun in an Italian garden

MAMMA FA I CANDITI (mummy makes the candied fruits): Citrus Gourmande. The fragrance of typical south Italian candies (like the Sicilian ice cream cassata)

Essenze di Mezzanotte

HESPERIDES: A fantastic citrus fruited and coconut scent, very long lasting and this for me is even better than Creed's Virgin Island Water. It's one of a few scents that I'd never be with out, whilst it's in production.

MANIERES EXQUISES: Fresh citrus.

TRAMONTO SULLE COLLINE (sunset over the hills): Another citrus fruited scent, but this one is heavier than HESPERIDES and doesn't have coconut in it.

ANTICA FARMACIA DEL CINGHIALE

Colonia Toscana" Not 100% citrus, but is fresh with a lovely spicy note which is due to the coriander. It's popular in Italy.

I'd hate to say it since it's not something I really like, but it does get an A for being in a league of its own. L'eau D'Issey. Also L'Eau par Kenzo pour Homme is pretty unique. It goes from what smells like fresh squeezed lemonade to green peppers.

Right now I would have to say Cartier Declaration Cologne. Ginger + Citrus. Delicious. I will admit though: I have yet to try Frederic Malle Bigarade Concentree or Citrus Paradisi, both of which I've heard were pretty good. I own Hermes D' Orance Concentree, which is very good as well.

Good one! For some reason I don't even think of this as citrus. Flattened satuma, celery, florals, and amber.
