Happiest of days to Kevin & Haunani!

I'm wearing Christian Dior's Dolce Vita for the first time in almost a year and I can't decide if I still like it or not. It's very sweet and heliotrope-y on me at the moment, after three hours of wear. I'm not getting much fruit, and I think if I hadn't already swallowed painkillers this morning I'd be well on the way to a migraine. Think I'll sell it. Oh, how glum, I loved this at purchase.

Happy Birthday Kevin & Haunani !

Hope your special day is filled with fabulous friends, family, and fragrance.

I'm not felling tip top today- must be all the birthday cake and ice cream overload this week- so I was running late and left the house sans scent (as Actiasluna says - the HORROR!)

Dug through my limited selection of emergency scents in my desk drawer and decided on Dazzling Gold. A very servicable and pleasant office scent.

Prolly won't check in tomorrow (road trip) so thinking for synchro day it will either be NU, Y, or Cinema.

Happy Birthday, Haunani and Kevin Guyer!
Today (while awaiting the completion of the plumbers redoing the bathtub drain at my house) I'm enjoying Samsara... (somewhat an ironic thing really)... My day was hectic and annoying at work, and a project that won't "die" is still hanging in there, voiceover talent delayed the retakes yesterday due to throat issues, and I ended up getting somewhat told off because I took on the photos myself... (long boring story really)...what was supposed to be a completed project got shown to the clients in a rather less than complete form, is the short version. Sigh.

So the least I can do is make the annoying time fragrant! Coming home to hang out with the plumbers is a "mini-break"... thank goodness I have a 3 day weekend coming!
Mimi, I love all the pics lately with your son. And you look adorable with bangs - what beautiful hair you have!

I'm wearing Coco edp this evening, from a decant Ubu sent me a while back. This is hitting just the right spot this evening. I'm a tiny bit overpowered by it, and for me it probably would be even better as a body cream, but Coco edp is just gorgeous any way you slice it, and I've been craving spicy scents lately. Enjoying this one this evening. Luxe! (Where're my panné velvet lounging pajamas? Chanel fragrances usually make me feel wonderful, but shabbily dressed!)
Oh Lilybelle I know what you mean about luxe scents making one feel shabby in the garb department! (in my vintage plaid shirt I am now wearing the SoTE, E.M. (J. Peterman) Ca' d'Oro... which is indeed "an exotic scent with notes of bergamot, musk, amber, almond-hazelnut, sandalwood, and patchouli." It is a warm, deep scent with a musky, ambery, woody, earthy, and wonderful drydown.

And now I have shiny new tub taps and drain (that works!)... a new sink drainpipe and a sink plug that actually plugs, and freshly caulked surrounds for the tub and the bath! (and they only had to get out the sawzall twice, LOL... whoever put the AC drain in with the tub drain was NOT a plumber.) So I feel all luxurious in my newfound bathroom-actually-works-correctly state of AHHH!)

I'm wearing Boucheron Trouble today.

Sending happy birthday wishes to Haunani and Kevin Guyer!
Wow! What great cakes for Haunani & Kevin! Happy Birthday. I cannot believe that so many of us are wearing Chamade today. Once I get past the galbanum, I finally "get it". Thanks to all of the Basenoters who told me not to scrub... wait for the drydown!

Hey y'all -

I'm in L'Arte di Gucci again. Have a great evening everyone!

SotE is fresh out of the mail and bubble-wrap: my brand-new sample of SL Boxeuses (sprayed).

My search for a leather fragrance has come to an end. This beats PdE's Cuir Ottoman by a mile. I am in love, and I continue to populate my wishlist with Serge Lutens frags.

Also, because I can't help myself, I dabbed just a bit of my new Givenchy Organza Indecence sample on my left hand and a bit of the reissued Donna Karan Signature EDP on my right hand (both also right out of the bubble wrap).

DK Signature is OK, but I was hoping for more spice. Plus, rose and I don't always get along, and the rose in this one seems to weirdly "flatten" out the fragrance on me.

But the Organza Indecence is right up my alley: big, sweet, spicy, and ambery. This one went straight to my wishlist. Wow.
