Recommendations *NOOB*

Hi Guys

Eventually got round to joining after what seems like ages lurking around

Im off to New York in November and I'm hoping to pick a new scent so was hoping to pick your brains for some recommendations.

Im not great at describing smells but after filling in the wardrobe section it appears I like quite sweet and rich smells. If I list some of my faves maybe you can help point me in the right direcion. Im not neccessarily after smell-a-likes but something along the lines of the following would be nice.

Chanel - Allure Homme
Lolita Lempicka - Au Masculine
Carolina Herrera - 212 Sexy Man
Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male
D & G - The One

I also have owned and like the following

Hugo Boss - Soul
Hugo Boss - Dark Blue
Mont Blanc - Individuel
Joop - Homme
Ralph Lauren - Romance

I tried a Creeds Original Santal which I also quite like but as I also like Joop/Individuel I suppose this would come as no suprise.

As a final I also tried Tom Fords Black Orchid which although a perfume I really liked, especially on the dry down. However, this perfume makes my girlfriend physically ill so I'm not allowed to wear it.

Look forward to your responses.

check out Baldessarini. It is slighty sweet and smells very very rich IMO.

I actually have Baldessarini in my collection but its not one of my faves so is often relegated.

I'll have to check out YSL as I have heard good things.

I was actually after something a little more niche I suppose as I off to New York i almost wanted a unique New York scent. What about Bond No.9 have they any similar type smells? I was also thinking about Amouage as well.
