I presume we have the wrong month here!!

I am wearing Rive Gauche by YSL.

YSL is one of my favourite perfume lines. I have and wear
Cinema, Paris (not my favourite), "Y", Yvresse, Rive Gauche (my all time
favourite) and Opium.
No YSL here, sorry, but have you ever noticed how disproportionally large the feet of that Opium model are? Like, perhaps, size 12 (EUR 42)? Once I have, I do not even look at her beauty, just her feet -- every time I see this ad.

Going to pave the US highways with hard-earned USDs -- to the Tri-State's area Dubuque (IL, WI and IA), will wear something comfortable like L'Or de Torrente and take a few decants with me.

Have a nice weekend.

I love it! Give me an EDP version!

Roberto - smelling good never needs an apology!

For YSL Day I am wearing Nu edp. I honestly can't recall the last time I wore it but it must have been at least five years ago. I was frankly underwhelmed by it then but did think of it for today, since on Sync Days I like to try either sampling new things or revisit older, not recently worn ones. My tastes had to have changed and/or expanded since my last wearing of Nu because it smells wonderful today. I am loving the blend of pepper, incense, and woods shot through with a touch of floral. I'll be adding this to the current lineup, for sure.

Have a lovely Friday, all!

I'll be scent twins with you, devilcat.

Found a Cinema parfum sample I had forgotten in my sample box. (Can't tell much difference between that and the EDP but both are nice.)
Hello everyone! Today I'm joining devilcat and NebraskaLovesScent in wearing Cinema.
Have a good weekend!

Top notes- Clementine, Cyclamen, Almond Blossom
Middle notes- Peony, Amaryllis, Jasmine
Base notes- Amber, Benzoin, White Musk, Vanilla
post #17 of 74
Opium Poésie de Chine pour Femme...

2008. Top notes are tangerine and ginger; middle notes are jasmine and magnolia; base notes are patchouli, musk, vanilla and myrrh. This is a pretty and *cheerful* version of Opium...or maybe some would say it's for people who don't really like Opium. Don't beat me with your mouillettes! I love Opium!

Sticking with L'Occitane Honey and Lemon today, despite the weather being pretty enough for one of my Paris Printemps flankers.
The Honey and Lemon is now my official "lucky scent" I wore it to an auction yesterday and won a fabulous item while people were distracted or sleeping or just not paying attention. I had hoped to purchase a little sketch b a local artist of some renown, but ended up with a beautiful oil. I can't believe my luck, and neither could the art dealers at the auction.

Rive Gauche pour homme

It's good to see so many YSL frags today,
I'll join in Opium pour Homme, EdP.

Gaaahh ! Un-synchronized again...must remember this weekly event! Well, tonight I'll join Kiliwia, Devilcat and NebraskaLovesScent and wear Cinema.

Today, however, I'm wearing Chanel Cuir de Russie. There's no better ending of a crazy work week for me, than feeling luxurious in my beloved CdR.

Have a great day everyone!

Now that you point it out, it's really distracting.

Wearing vintage Y parfum to play along with my BN friends.
I'll wear some Opium tonight, but for my Friday workaday I'm going to sport PG Cadjmere with my casual clothes. Casual Friday takes on a whole new meaning when you wear scrubs to work quite often - somehow scrubs are different than "casual", a whole new level of casual.
I'll be wearing Yvresse today and probably Opium this evening. Yvresse is so long-lasting that it may carry over into the evening. I love all the YSL fragrances I've tried except Paris. tdem1961, are you still enjoying the Nu? I've thought about buying it untried since I love YSL. Anyone else tried it?
Body Kouros for me.

Well I hadn't remembered about Synch Day this morning when I spritzed on Dzing! before leaving for the school run. But since it's now the afternoon and Dzing! has faded to nothingness, I shall join Candy Boy and top up with my adored Opium edp. Hoorah! I don't wear this often enough.

YSL perfumes used to be 'the ones I like' when I was younger and didn't know my way around the perfume department too well. I knew I liked things that weren't flowery or fussy but I didn't want to wear plain eau de cologne all the time. The YSL counter was the one place that they had perfumes that spoke to me and for years I wore Rive Gauche, then progressed to Opium and Nu. Nowadays I still have bottles of all 3 and they are still favourites.

I have two good YSL tales: the time I was in a really full-on rock/biker club and a hairy biker in full regalia sidled up to me at the bar and whispered 'you're wearing Opium, aren't you?' and when I answered yes, sighed and said 'It's my favourite', and wandered off.
The other time was when I wore Rive Gauche to work in a design studio and the men aged between 35-50 unanimously stopped working and looked up from their desks. Our lovely studio manager said 'you're wearing Rive Gauche!' and there was a collective sigh from the gents in question. Then I got the explanation: 'It's the scent of posh 6th form girls who wouldn't date scruffy little herberts like us'. (6th form is senior school - aged 16-18.)

NU is one of the most missed discontinued YSL frags,
it still has a huge fan-base.

It's never wise to blind buy any frags, but if you must,
NU is probably amoung the safest. If you do not like it,
it will be quite easy to sell it off. Go for it!

Good morning everyone, and Happy YSL Day!

I'm in the always charming and enchanting Paris, vintage edp.

Twolf - so close and yet so far. Have a fun and safe trip!

Wordbird - I remember your "Posh Birds" story; you and Rive Gauche are eternally linked in my mind!

Y'all have a fabulous day!

Synchronised in Cinéma.

Scent quadruplates with Kiliwia, devilcat and NebraskaLovesScent!

Happy weekend and YSL synchro day all!

Twolf and Quarry You are too funny LOL. But now that you mention her foot size, I bet there is evidence somewhere supporting that greater foot size is linked to greater brain power (says she of the size 10 US (41/42 EU) feet).

Wore Yvresse to bed last night. This morning, seeing as my other choices (the most fabulous Nu, YSL, and Cinema) are well represented, I'm wearing In Love Again Edition Jasmin Etoile. which features- you guessed it- star jasmine.

I must agree with TWolf, the models feet are 'drag queen size' no?
Hi folks,

I'm afraid I won't be in YSL today because it's my birthday!!!!!!

(let my shameless birthday wish trolling begin!)

I'm heading into the city to find myself a birthday present. If the Fougere Royale re-release is in, I'll probably get that. Otherwise, I think there may be a bottle of the new Guerlain Dandy with my name on it...

I'll try on something along the way, of course.
Happy Birthday rogalal, happy hunting!
I am unsynchronized today -- no YSL (although I may run out and buy some Ysatis)....

So I am in Boxeuses again today. Lovely juice.

Yes, it's lovely. Several hours later it has become more mellow, with a little more of the woods coming through. And odd as it may sound, it smells almost clean. Clean and warm, kind of like a cotton shirt fresh and still warm from the dryer. You mention loving all YSLs except Paris, and include Opium among them. Based on that, I think there's a chance you'd like this. I'd stick with the edp though, I've heard the edt isn't as nice.

OH! Rogalal - a very happy birthday to you, enjoy!!

Dear Extreme, Ysatis is no YSL, it's one
of Givenchys best offerings!
But by all means, do buy it ... it's delish!

Happy Birthday Rogalal! Plus Happy Belated Birthday wishes to dear Haunani! I hope the next year brings many good things to you both!

Been one of those weeks....so busy! Happy that I made it to Friday, even if with a headache (sigh).

Yesterday's scent: No. 19 parfum (new formulation)
Last night: a lot of samples ...Une Rose Vermeille on the wrists, Memoir Woman on the upper arms, Rubj EDP on the right knee, and Absolue Pour le Soir on the left knee. (DH had a good laugh!)
This morning, pre-shower: Absolue Pour le Matin.

Today is YSL Day! Yeah! Post-shower, I'll pick one...probably either Y or Rive Gauche. Maybe Paris. Maybe I'll use those knees again and wear all three (LOL)

Hugs to all....

I'm in Diabolo Rose and hubby is in the rather-similar-smelling Geranium Pour Monsieur today.
He said mine smells better.

Happy Birthday ROGALAL

Happy Birthday Rogalal !

My SOTD is a no-brainer as it's the only Yves I have! Here are my beauties...

And on the subject of feet... I recall from life drawing classes that a person's foot is the same length as their forearm. (now I'm picturing the contortions as y'all check this out! ... yup, mine is!)

Oh rogalal, Happy Birthday! Now you need some delicious cake - I hope you don't mind pecans! (Sorry, I just couldn't wait and I helped myself to a big ol' slice.)

Paris is gone now, so I'll be out of sync for the afternoon with K de Krizia.
Switching to Elle for the afternoon. With notes of Lemon, Peony, Litchi,
Jasmine, Pink Pepper, Vetiver and Patchouli.

Happy Birthday to Rogalal!!!!

I didn't even notice she had feet! Right now I'm wearing Iris Pallida by L'Artisan. Will be spritzing on some Opium before bed - hoping to end up like the Opium ad model - big feet or not!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGALAL!
Hope you'll find/get a bunch of gifts, here!

I'm not in sync today. I was going to wear my Yvresse, the last drops of a mini parfum bottle, but I ended up in a sampling mode, so I have two Carons on: Aimez-Moi on my right arm (finally! a violet I can do!) and Montaigne on my left arm (hummm... this one intrigues me very much!)

And oh my, if I understand correctly what a forearm is, mine are just as out of sync as I am with the YSL day! Much longer than my feet!
Birthday wishes for Haunani and Rogalal!

I'm fighting off the creeping crud that is felling my students one by one, and trying to sniff my spritzing of Rive Gauche, to little avail. At least I know others will be able to enjoy it. Take care, all.
SOTD: Paris EDT

Forearm does match foot length for me, too.
I forgot it was YSL day and wore Lovely instead. Doh! But if I'd remembered, I'd have worn Y, because I love it. Tomorrow! Or maybe Paris, not sure.
