I have sampled Angeliques Sous la Pluies and actually had some kind of epiphany when I smelled it the first time but I quickly realized how weak sillage and longevity are. Many reviews confirm that this is an issue that prevented many from buying it. Well I recently bought a bottle from a fellow BNer anyway
but now I consider getting Bois d'Orage (aka French Lover) as a replacement.
What do you think about the current formulation (the 9% strenght)?
Did Pierre Bourdon succeed with making a stronger version of Angeliques Sous la Pluies?
Just how related are they and would a person like me like Bois d'Orage?
I love ASlP's
- peppery Anglica notes as well as the whole Gin Tonic/wet stone-accord
- transparency and airyness
- the coriander notes
but hated
- sillage and longevity
