It's that time of year again (for most of us atleast).

For those who single out their most used winter frags for wearing during the colder months, post up a pic for nosey people like myself to see. Or just list them

Nice choices ;D

I've been considering Pi, never sampled it but it seems to me kind of scent from what i've seen and the people that use it.

Well, Pi is nice but kinda boring. I will wear it to work just to get rid of it. Rochas and Pure Malt are much more interesting, but also can be cloying in office so I started to spray just once on each wrist.

Out of your choices I liked London very much but I guess that I have enough of winter stuff anyway.

My winter rotation has a tendency to be everything in my collection, even the lighter "summer" fragrances. I miss my warm-weather favorites now and then. But to answer your question more directly, I can feel a binge of warm/sweet/sexy fragrances coming on. Musc Ravageur and SL MKK are both on my "must buy" list. Add in stuff already in my collection like Ambre Sultan, Bois du Portugal, Dior Homme Intense, Escada Homme, M7, Rochas Man - there should be a law or something. Caron L'Anarchiste and Tabac on the way now. You can see a trend emerging.

Winter is for violets, pine, and aldehydes. Grey Flannel, Fahrenheit, Allure Homme, Coco EDT.

Speaking of La Nuit de L'homme le Parfum, I sent an email to YSL America and asked when it would show up in USA. They said they have NO time line on when it will be shipped from France. Will it ever come...I hope, but you decide.

oh how i love winter time. i get to wear the ones i LOVE

im going to be cycling Pure Malt, Le Male, La Nuit de L'homme, Armani Code, D&G The One, and, something i just swapped for that im really excited about: Gucci Pour Homme I.

ahhh Gucci Pour Homme I. There are some type of people that love this kind of scent, and some that hate it. I am one of those people that usually HATE this type of fragrance. But there was just something different about it. I didnt like it when i sniffed the bottle or even on paper, but just for experiement sake, i sprayed it on my forearm, let it cook for a second, and WOW. Its just something else on my skin. Its not OVERpeppery or overpowering. Its so deeply woody, that it almost smells like a sweet woody scent on my skin. I think its an amazing fragrance, and although its strictly a winter fragrance, i believe it can be used for many different occasions during the winter. Obviously when ur wearing a suit and tie, but i think it would be great for a night out when ur wearing a leather jacket becasue the fragrance is kinda "bad ass" so it all ties into eachother. Also, even though its not a sweet or young smelling fragrance, some girls seem to really like it . Cant wait til this swap is complete and im getting it. I love it so much that im swapping away my Burberry Brit, something i used to really love, but has been kinda annoying to me lately.

Daytime: Bois du Portugal refreshed once, London, Silver Man, Reflection Man, JV Vintage on occasion, Jubilation XXV, Odin 04 Petrana likely layered into London, Acier Aluminum, and my two all season standbys: Green Irish Tweed and Old Spice.

Evenings: Cologne pour le Soir, Absolute pour le Soir (yes, they are emotionally different), Reflection Man.

Missing and wanted for winter: Opus II.

Rarely used now but have been long term favorites: Polo Green, Le Male

The one I gave away and will get me banned from Basenotes for An Act of Heresy: Pure Malt. My daughter loves it so much it's now hers. I have only Rights for Occasional Use.

Hi Smithy. I got the le parfum la nuit on ebay, 49GBP including postage which was a great deal i think. I've just checked and there are none selling on there now, but the seller was 'azoperfume', you could email the guy and ask if he has anymore, he was selling about 4/5 at the time. It's very nice =)

Some really nice selections here! Lots of pure malt, rochas man and burberry london, nice to see!

I expect the following 5 scents to get most action:

Eau d'Hermes, Mouchoir de Monsieur, Hammam Bouquet, Eau Lente and Santal Noble

Ok, I admit. I lied! Reality is, that as much as I'd like this to be my winter rotation, too often I just grap something lighter in the morning. For example some Guerlain or Santa Maria Novella EdC, Villoresi's Uomo or Helmut Lang EdC.

Pi is pretty linear, although there are subtle changes through the majority of the scent's life. If you're like me, its hard to find a time/mood to wear it, but on the days you do, its absolutely PERFECT. It actually reminds me of a smooth, less sharp Chergui

Woohoo! It's time to bring out the best. It's still not cold enough here in Florida for most of these, but when it gets there, it's gonna be great!
