Has anyone tried any fragrances from the Dr. Vranjes line? If so, what are your thoughts/opinions?

The line includes:

AMBER-IRIS
BERGAMOT-MYRTLE
ROSE-CASSIS
VETIVER-PEPPER
GIGEMBER-ESTRAGONE
ZAGARA-PATCHOULI

I've seen these at Gump's in San Francisco and have sniffed a few on paper (VETIVER-PEPPER, GIGEMBER-ESTRAGONE, ZAGARA-PATCHOULI if I recall correctly). They seemed pleasant but not terribly long lasting; I think they've been discussed here before.

Thanks PaulSC. I saw them at Gumps also. But I was already loaded up with other fragrances - so didn't have any "real estate" to try them on. They claim to be "extraits".

I owned the Vetiver- Poivre (Pepper) and I didn't smell too much vetiver in it and the "grey amber" note was too feminine and overpowering for me. I ended up selling it. I tried the other ones and not too impressed with them either.

I didn't care much for the three I tried - very old-school Italian in that powdery amber sort of way. But I know Jaime picked up one of them that I hadn't tried, so there's hope...

The only other place I've seen these is the Bergdorf Goodman men's store - maybe our NY folks have checked them out?

Worn Ambra Iris once; thought it was a milder, less animalic variant of PG's L'Ombre Fauve.

I tried their line a couple of years ago, as they were kind enough to send me all their samples for free. PaulSC is spot on, they're pleasant enough, but not long lasting.

I tried a few of them, when I was in Florence last year, and I can only echo what the others have said - not terribly compelling, old-school smelling and not particularly long-lasting. Nice customer service, though.
