Place to buy Kouros (not online though)

Hello,

I am looking for a place to buy Kouros where I can physically see the box before I buy it. After reading this thread - http://www.basenotes.net/threads/249978-Vintage-Kouros - I took a look at the back of my box, and at the end of the ingredient list I found the code 2YF02-3, meaning I have the most current formulation. I also have a small sample vial of Kouros that I bought before buying my full bottle, and I think they smell a bit different. My newer bottle is still quite obviously Kouros, but the opening doesn't seem as awesomely disturbing as the older formulation. So, I'd like to buy a bottle with the older 2YF02-2 code, but I'd want to actually see the box before buying.

The question is, where to buy it? Is there a chance any of these older bottles are still available? The only places I've ever seen it is at the airport duty-free shops, and I'm not traveling any time soon. I've never seen it at Macy's, Sephora, Nordstrom, etc. I checked Walmart and Target recently and nothing.

I'm in the Boston, MA area. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Oh yeah, I forgot about perfumania. I think we have one of those at the mall only a few miles away, so I'll check it out this weekend.

Thanks!

Since you haven't disclosed where you live other than USA, it's hard to figure what stores might be near you.

Hi,

I stated at the end of my thread that I'm in the Boston area. I'll update my location though now that you mention it!

Thanks.

If there are any Loehmann's in Boston, they should probably have it.

oooh, Boston. Have you sniffed past Colonial Drug?

Wow I haven't seen this one on-counter in years! You could always order it online and specify that you only want one with that code.

Great, thanks for all the suggestions! I will do some shopping around this weekend and hopefully find an older bottle.

Perfumania and smaller fragrance stores like that have had it. Wrenthem MA has outlet stores, including Perfumania and another one like it, and they had Kouros when I went there. I dunno if youre willing to drive that far but as far as I know Wrenthem is only 30-45 mins from Boston
