what is the best part of GIT?

In your opinion, is it the top notes or the drydown that you find most elegant about GIT?

To me, the drydown is extremely smooth yet distinctive- sheer elegance

both .. .

GIT is beautiful top to base. Green opening, more floral as it dries; but overall it's pretty linear, or maybe just super smooth. I've gotten more compliments though, from the ladies on its dry down, so that could tell you something.

Not the the price

The bottle.

Unpacking a brand new Flacon, removing the leather wrap, lifting off the stopper and smelling the juice inside for the first time since it left the Creed factory

It seems fairly linear to me, but if I had to choose, I'd say the drydown. A very nice fragrance.

Just got a bottle of this in the mail today. I have to agree it stays pretty linear for the most part, bearing in mind I have a cold right now so my sense of smell is a little off. I like the initial burst of GIT the best though. Is it me or does anyone else get a dark mossy green vibe from the fragrance?

smooth from top to base. simply perfect.

The best part of GIT is when you wash it off. HA! Actually it's a perfectly fine smell, I just can't see having so much love for it. Then again, I think Jean Nate is fabulous so I obviously have no taste.

Love it from start to finish. If I had to choose, it'd be the opening. Pure clean & green.

Top only for me. Not fond of the base. In the Creed line I much prefer the base of Erolfa. Well I guess I much prefer Erolfa all around for that matter.

I would say the middle. some where between the fresh start and the drydown is a wonderfull, complete scent that cannot be beat.

I'm 23 and had a 30-35 year old (very attractive) woman in line at Starbucks tell me that I smelled so good she could just "eat me up"

Thanks for the replies, I love the fragrance just find it a bit harsh in the beginning, but once it settles in it's stellar!

The dry down.

I just know the worst: the leaking cup of it.
I love it from top to base.

But If I had to choose, the dry down.

The opening is pretty nice but I realy like the woodsy masculine drydown.

Um....she'd be displeased with me for posting this but the response of Mrs. J. is, um, uh....favorable. That's the best part of GIT in our home. Explosive? No. Movieworthy? Not a chance. Just favorable, in a long-time-married sort of way.

I've known GIT for about 3 years now, since I joined BN. I've always respected it, but since I've always hated Cool Water, I've never been able to shake the connection. I must be incredibly sensitive to a note in the topnotes, a very sharp, neon-like candied violet/aquatic something-or-other. Three nights ago, I put some of my sample on, and went into bed to watch some TV. After those initial notes died down, I was hit with a truly SUBLIME mid-note and base-note progression. It finally clicked, and I got what everyone was talking about. No joke, GIT's drydown is one of the best I've ever smelled. It's THAT good.
