I think the name is misleading because I do not pick up a leather note, I get a dirt/ patchouli smell and that is about it. Very underwhelming. Anyone else feel the same? I was expecting a lot more.

I liked it as a slightly better analog of Bel Ami. When I got through my Trumpers sample pack, I bought decants of my first choice "summer" (GFT) and "winter" (Sandalwood), and Spanish Leather would have been my second choice winter. I'm still very tempted, but I'm debating whether Santos may fill the same niche.

Though very low-key indeed, I always found something very appealing and suave about this, the kind of understated elegance I seek for in male frags

Trumper's Spanish Leather is more of a hint of well treated and perfumed leather, than a leather scent. For a more authentic Santa experience try Maria Novella's Peau d'Espagne (Spanish Leather)
