Post Pictures of Your Fragrance Collection: Part V - Page 5

OK, I'll get in on this:

A lot of smaller bottles are obscured by the larger ones in front, there's actually four or five rows there.

May I? Here is my mother's collection. She is the best smelling 50 year old I know.

Official samples from Amouage, By Kilian, and ELDO (one of my favorite discoveries this year)

You've just reminded me, I need to buy a wine cooler Matt! Maybe in the post-xmas sales!
alot of awesome collections guys!
Hey MFJ! Thank you sharing again. Just lovely collection you got there. Need to do mine as well. Next year probably when I get back to Shanghai.

Some of the desigerns will have to go (albeit I have been saying this for months and months.) as I want to add a few Montales and Micallefs that are otherwise unreachable.
There are a few odd ones missin though...

Forgot to say, all those boxes contain my samples (some 150-200 niche plus another 100 designers, which are stored elsewhere.)

Your messy snapshot is art to my eyes. Very abstract, I would love to have that blown up, framed and on my wall!
MFJ : YOu have me drooling

The_cologneist : Thanks, I take that as a compliment for my unintented artsiness. It did turn out rather nicely, didnt it...
Well, maybe there is some chance for a chaot like me after all.
I actually have considered printing out one or the other wardrobe pics (looks sheepishly towards JRD4T among others) for this precise purpose
post #249 of 380
@Dimi: You plan to store wine or fragrance? Coz I believe Perth is abundant with wine. So it is kinda ironic haha!

@Volley2: Thanks man, my pleasure to share.

@B:Thank you! :-)

I agree with Cologneist, looks like art to me. I love this photo.

What is the square bottle between Joop! Jump and the small Bvlgari? The one with blue on top of the cap.

Also, what is the bottle to the right of D&G Light Blue and the teal and white Cool Water flanker?

Very nice indeed! If I could have all those attars you've got...I wish!

Reviews would be appreciated especially those hard to find exclusive attars.

After much purging and a few new bottles, my current collection (which will never be epic-scale, I just don't have the hoarding/collecting gene).

I've tried to look for a common thread between them and can't find one. All I know is that I love and wear all of them, and each one fits a different mood. (Now all I need is the perfect earthy, grassy vetiver and I'll never need to buy another fragrance. Maybe.)

Subhuman. Good stuff. I'm loving the Mugler Cologne

Thanks volley2! Yeah I love that score a little over dramatic for a collection video, but what can I say I like listening to it LOL

^Woohoo!!! Damn smooth, P. I'm feeling the PG, especially Felanilla, it is so intoxicatingly good. I could live happily with your bottles. Great taste.

I dont know what to look at first! But that Attrape Coeur... *sqweal*!
Thank you all , I set them all out for the first time and thought to myself , there doesnt look much there , Im a Basenoter for sure HAHAHAHAHAHA . I think I need to work on my composition tho !
Nothing wrong at all with the composition there PM!
Repetition of the same shape/size bottles really looks effective, doesnt it? As does bringing some height to your pics by stacking them etc.

I love Le Grand Duc's video wardrobe... I might even attempt one of those in the weeks to come.

Thanks, I just had this chest made. The carpenter came up with the rolling tray idea. The space on the bottom shelf is 10", then the next couple are closer together. 9", 8", 7" or so at the top. It holds the majority of my collection, in alphabetical order, by house. (Basically), although lotions & tall stuff are on the bottom.
Pour monsieur , Wonderful stuff , incredible!!!!!!!!!!!
Kumquat, at the bottom drawer, are those Bell Jars of Serge Lutens? Nice!
im fealin dullahs creed collection. you must have dropped some serious loot for those flacons homeboy.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Jup, Jules EdT. Great stuff, I smelled it in France and was hooked but couldnt find it anywhere here in Germany until FINALLY a bottle popped up on ebay. Payed more for it than for Ambre Sultan and L'Air du desert marocain

The square one is Eryo, a more than decent Vanilla centered frag by Yves Rocher. Dirt cheap but unfortunately I dont wear it all that much anymore.
The other one is unscripted by Patrick Dempsey which I bought blind for it's pepper but I cant seem to get over the Vetiver/Violet combo. It's still a great frag, too, and i'm sticking to it because I hope to be able to appreciate it at some point

+1 to the stunning bit.

I'm amazed at the presentation here, pyramids of Malle and Tom Ford. (Mostly because of the numbers but secondarily because if I tried to do something similar my scent would tumble. Not the world's best manual dexterity.) Which reminds me that I need to re-inventory my somewhat ragged-around-the-edges collection AND get a real scent cabinet, as I've come quite close to disaster just getting the bottles out of the linen closet I appropriated for that. At least to put a soft throw rug on the stained concrete floor beneath, in case of toppling one of them to the floor. Did drop one, as I recall it was a thick rectangular glass flacon so it just went thump and didn't crack or break. Thank goodness!

Yes. I will get some better close-up shots posted soon. You have good eyes to see those tiny bottles!

These are in the cabinet from top to bottom.

The bottom picture is overflow in a bottom
drawer in the cabinet on the left.

This is for you MFJ. As per your request. My wine cooler. As I mentioned, it's just a small one. It's deep though. They look like sardines cramped inside. hahahahahaha. I'll try to post the collection outside the cooler as soon as I find time.

Volley2, Which Lutens do you have your eye on?

I haven't really smelled all the Lutens so I cannot really answer this one. But maybe Cuir Mauresque, Boxeuses, Iris Silver Mist, Bois Oriental, Sarrasins. These 5 sounds good. =)
I have Iris SM & Bois Oriental in Bell jars so I can recommend both of those. They are very different but each is delicious and a must have, or at least try. I haven't tried Boxeuses yet but it sounds promising.

@ Volley2: Holy molly! I LOVES your cooler!! Don't you think the cooler add X factor to the whole aesthetic?

@kumquat: Amazzhinggg collection. Can i borrow some of your artistic/architectural genes? IF I had the skills and resources, I'd love to design and build my own temp. controlled cooler-cabinet.

You all are grossly excessive, admirably, and inspiring.
That's nice of you to say. I am lucky to have resources, and a really great carpenter/cabinet maker.
kumquat, which of the gorgeous Louis XVI Guerlain presentations do you have in that charming Zig-Zag box in pic 3 above?
*braces himself*...
OH, and is that bee bottle in the bottom drawer Derby?
The zig-zag box is Eau de Cologne of Habit Rouge and that is indeed a recent bottle of Derby in the drawer.
This was once a built-in hamper in the bathroom. It's now converted into my fragrance cabinet. This is most of my collectables, some more everyday scents aren't shown. Also not shown are my Clive Christians, Aventus and a couple others which have a special place elsewhere.

Impressive collection, Mike. Just watch some of 'em don't fall off the edge!

Which Lutens is that in the back?

Yummy!
My Derby bee bottle has a brown ribbon around the neck, not a white one like yours. Ive often wondered why the two colours...

Good choice! My favorite of the line besides Vetiver Oriental.

If you have Chergui, then you don't need Tobacco Vanille....
