Mixing Montales.

I was thinking the other day about attars.

Normally, we do mix attars , like lets say musc and oud... oud, roses and santal..etc.

so i thought why not mixing a montale with other montale ... after all they are based on the
traditional attars from the east.
Yess, mixing and not layering.... just mix the perfumes in a decant bottle .

this is the best what i have discovered so far.

Montale attar + original oud 50 50 each and u get a very dark attar
that is similar to Aoud safran ... so now i don' buy that.

Black oud and original oud is very nice.

Blue amber and original oud wowowoow.

but my favorite was
golden oud and original oud.
i have both in perfume concentration.. zo mixing them adds some eartyness to the golden oud mixture and
some delicate top notes to the gasoline like original oud. it s now very velvety yet still very strong and powerful.

I guess only few work together... i cant imagine black oud and golden oud togeter
or amber&soices and attar.

so use your nose befor u start mixing... ands imagine what u get before u mix.

goodluck and enjoy the adventure

Very interesting Mo, I was just using Attar last evening. I've never considered mixing Montales because I am already slightly intimidated by their strength and potency at times, not sure what one heavy scent might do to another, when mixed. The Blue Amber and Pure Oud sounds quite cool, I think I might try that one, hopefully revive some love for it. It gets too sweet for me at times.
