Is Kenneth Cole "Reaction" one of the most copied scents nowadays?

It seems that many "aquatics" smell similar to Reaction. I see this one referenced in all too many reviews. Should it be (or is it already) considered a modern pioneer then?

I own a big bottle of Reaction myself. Funny thing is that I don't really care for it much, but these so called "copies" usually smell better than Reaction to me. I guess that melon accord isn't really my thing.

I remember smelling reaction in store when it first came out. I really liked it but as a teen had very little money so I passed. I am surprised that I haven't revisited it since. If I remember, it wasn't anything too earth shattering just very much inline with everything else being released at the time. So if anything, it took cues from a lot of its predecessors.

Very well put, I agree completely.

(Except for the misplaced apostrophe.)

The scent is a really nice summer scent, but it has no longevity at all( like 1-2hours)

I don't know about Reaction but isn't Issey Miyake the big granddaddy of the aquatics? Someone else ushered the melon in and that must be what you're looking for

I see Acqua di Gio as starting the aqua craze.

Ditto. It is a very mainstream fragrance, in a complete mainstream way, and it smells like several predecessors and several after it. I would add, very forgettable

i don't see reaction as an traditional aquatic fragrance... also, which other fragrances smells like reaction...?

Reaction is light...but, has a terrific sillage and.. it lasts forever.
