Scent for a Genie?

Someone I met at a conference a few months ago has invited me to a fancy-dress party next weekend. I've been *told* I'm going as a genie, and since it is a girl I rather fancy, I'm willing to play along.

My question, O venerable noses is: What scent would a genie wear?

Presumably something mysterious, spice-laden, evocative of the middle-east...

If I don't own the scent with the most votes, I'll do my best to obtain a sample.

Thanks in advance!

A good suggestion (obviously!), and one I have a sample of already.
If I may, I'll preempt Ambre Sultan by stating I don't like it (heathen that I am).

^ I've been meaning to check out CDG's Incense series for ages now. Thanks for reminding me! I'll see if I can sniff this one out later in the week. Cheers

I love this one straight out the bottle. All dry, herbally spicy goodness. Unfortunately, the dry down leaves me feeling a little, I don't know, unsatisfied. That and the cedar note kill it for me. Which is a shame.

Good suggestion. I think I may well go with something from Lutens. Again, I have a sample of this rattling around in the bottom of a drawer, so that makes things easier.
