I can teach English as a foreign language in my country

What was your last dream?Literally speaking!
I dreamed I was training as a parachutist and had a close call with the chute opening.

When on vacation, outside your country, do you still find yourself on the go, or do you find sufficient time to relax?

Usually, I'm on the go all day sightseeing and doing things, but then I go home in the early evening to relax before going out again at night. The older I get, however, the more I like relaxing all the time! I would like to have a little retreat place to get away from everything now and then. Just relax with a pile of books and dvds and not have to run around.

On the go. I'm not very good at relaxing. A holiday spent lying on a beach or by a pool is my idea of hell (well, holiday hell anyway!).

What do you enjoy most about a journey, the travelling or reaching the destination?
Meeting the local people and forging friendships from some of those encounters.

What is it that you have to do everyday but dislike doing immensely?

Walking. I do not have a car nor a driver's license, so all I do is walk, walk, walk. I enjoy the exercise, but walking out of necessity seems a chore and can be time consuming. I have to sing and talk to myself to pass the time. (And my town is boring!)

Get out of bed....I always wish I could sleep a bit longer!!!

Nothing I really hate immensely that I have to do, but I get tired of the kitchen messes (mostly mine). As soon as it's cleaned up it's time to mess it up again.

Do you save things, or get rid of clutter?
I do save things but not to the extent of hoarding.

If you were allowed to have one famous painting given to you by any museum which would you want?

In your opinion, what is a good house warming gift?
Wine! Or some other fine psychoactive drug.

Misscasey, sharing is caring

Crystal or porcelain is always an appropriate house warming gesture.

As wine has already been mentioned. A big dog, or a beer keg. A nice plant.

Do you keep plants and if so, what kind?

I am going to answer two questions since I love art..I would love anything from Van Gogh really. It would be hard to decide. Ones of his work I would pick years ago wouldn't be the ones I would pick today for some reason. As of late, I may pick Flower Beds In Holland or one of his tree paintings. I do like the Impressionists..and a Monet or Renoir landscape I wouldn't mind either.

No indoor plants as I have a plant eating cat. lol.
Kalli, I think you're supposed to ask a question. And/or answer Gary's question. Then again, maybe I don't understand this game.

What are your top five scents at the moment? (Or is this too much "on topic." LOL)
Oh ya, that's right! LOL, sorry abt that, I went and done messed up the game.

BLV Mon Jasmin Noir

What is the name of your favorite neighborhood restaurant?
Can Can Brasserie, but it isn't in my neighborhood. I don't like the restaurants in my immediate neighborhood so I don't go to them. Oops, I lied! Vietnam Garden is closer, I like that one very much.

Which of the three meals could you do without?

Although not healthy, I could do without breakfast and make it straight through to lunch.

What is your favorite confection?

Lately, crocheted pieces, and some other things I made for Christmas gifts, laminated dried flower bookmarks for a church sale (I thought they'd be goofy but they sold like hotcakes), and striped paper round ornaments.

I would probably say a tree house I built for my children when they were little. I was very proud of it.

How long would you say you have ever gone without sleep at one time?
Good job hednic.

Ive gone 2 full days without sleep.

And since last Saturday I've gotten only a total of 13 hours.
My twins are hospitalized.

A treehouse is impressive! I want to make a doll house someday, before I grow too old to remember, lol!

Let's see...I cannot go without sleep. Sleep is more important for me than food, and I do love to eat. I don't think I've ever gone as long as 24 hours without sleep.

Oh no! Hedonist, I'm so sorry! What happened?
Hedonist - sorry to hear about your kids. Sending a prayer that they get better quickly.

About 48 hours for me too. It's not a good feeling.

What is it about you that others find difficult to understand?
My shyness. I don't seem shy because I've learned to compensate, but at heart I am extemely shy.

My relentless drive to make things better than what I perceive them to be.

Have you reconnected with someone in your life that you have become distant from?
With more than someone, I guess I have an "on and off"-interaction with people in my life

What is your ideal breakfast, what does it consist of?
Okay, if I could eat it without getting indigestion that lasted for what seems like days, I'd have eggs over easy, toast, bacon and hash browns. Since that doesn't work for me, 2 eggs, very lightly buttered flax toast, juice and coffee. Or, what I usually have, plain oatmeal with almonds and some kind of berry and maybe some Greek yoghourt, plain.

Do you manage to get to bed around the same time every night - or does it vary a lot?
I'm usually in bed by ten.

Do you dream vividly? What is a recurring dream theme (for me, being lost in a strange city).
Sometimes vividly, with actual people dreamed about, with dialogues in various languages, other times, no dreams at all, even when I sleep very relaxed, very deep and for a long time - recurring dreams often involve persons and settings familiar to me, but also various films and musical pieces which have had a strong impact on me

What TV show/TV program you could easily live without for indeterminate time?
Almost any of them...

Same Q.
All of them.

What is a recurring theme in your dreams?
Falling off a cliff

How much of a "green thumb" are you?
Thanks lilybelle and hednic. *hugs*

I've had one recurring dream for a few years now. Cant remember it now.
Most nights i don't dream or have short dreams. I dream vividly when ultra tired.

When did you first own a mobile phone? Do you remember what brand and model? Why did you get one?
My first mobile was an old nokia around 1994. No other reason than it being popular for kids my age to own lol.
My first nice mobile was the Nokia 6110. It was nice. The paint changes color like a peacock.

Honestly don't remember my first mobile phone - only that it was bulky. Probably a Nokia

Do you wash your car yourself or have it washed?
My first (proper) car:

Does this look like anyone other than the owner washed it?
I washed my car twice a week for 1.5 years (then sold it).
I waxed it myself too. Look at that shine, gloss, wetness-effect. Red is difficult to maintain but worth it.

Now our house boy does it. I taught him over a period of 10 washes. It took 10 sessions because the human hand by default wants to wipe in a circular motion. This is the equivalent of storing your perfumes by a window sill next to a furnace lol.

Same Q

Hot stuff hedonist!!

I don't have a car. >< But if I do I can imagine washing it myself, except in winter (it's usually minus 10-30 in winter here).

Ongoing Renovations

Do you get a chance to nap during the day and if so, for how long?
If I do get the chance, it can be very diversified in terms of length, from 30 minutes to 4-5 hours

Do you rather trust spontaneous intuitions or, on the contrary, rather well-established, longer-term planning?
Longer term planning works best for me.

As a child did you ever sell anything door to door? And if so, what?

What decorative object situated at your place, in your room, at your workplace etc. best defines you?

I would probably have to say my paintings, and my bedroom door which is now multi colored. (It is now a "deocrative object"). LOL

Thanks misscasey. It was difficult to let go! It was a manual transmission!!

I let it go for this :

But then had to let that one go too for a sedan when the twins came.
I just realized that I pay no attention to decorative objects whatsoever -- they can gather dust for all I notice or care. I like magnolias so I suppose a numbered magnolia grandiflora botanical print that I bought at a garden show in Richmond.

I like to take a 20 - 25 minute nap in the late afternoon sometimes. It's just enough to catch a few winks and refresh myself, but not long enough to go deeply under and wake up feeling disoriented and drugged later.

Yes indeed, snazzy autos, Hedonist!

What embarrassed you the most?
Id say if i could remember ...
I feel most embarrassed when I remember the time I bit my mother's hand after she grabbed some of my fancy candies and didn't give them back. I was 13-14 or something. Not small enough to forgive myself even now. I still remember her face afterwards. She did let go and then I didn't get them back. I immediately felt guilty and didn't want to show it I guess. Sepia memories.

The most embarrassing moment would be the time when I tried to get on a small row boat for a tour around the bosphorus and failed. The butt-naked kids in the sea laughed and cheered asking if the water was nice, along with my friends on the pier. I didn't feel much embarrassed though. No big deal.

Is there anything you suspect you might be in denial about?
Lots of aspects - but most likely my bossiness, certain spending and eating habits, a certain tendency to become something of a workaholic, a certain aloofness, moodiness, a liking towards the decadent and lavish, there would be lots of reasons for me to be in denial about one or the other detail in my life

Name one thinker, one researcher, one scientist you are convinced about having had an impact on the world as we know it, history, everyday life?
