How well traveled are you within your own country?
Average-well traveled, but I would like to see more of the west.

Other than Alaska and the Dakotas, pretty well traveled.

If one wants to get a taste of what your area is really like, what should they see or do?

Visit Netto in Peckham lol. But for my specific area, visit the local park and some of the pubs/cafes in the area.

How often do you ponder the thought of buying something before you actually buy it?

My Dark side: Romantic

"My Area:" Watch any film from Peter Greenaway. My world looks and feels very much the way his films do, minus the odd bits of cruelty inherent in some of the plots. Not counting shared family properties, I have four homes, in three different countries, and so I don't live anywhere specific, though I do live in a state of permanent semi-ancient everything, and it is often said of me that "I come from another time." I don't do this on purpose: It has been this way since my childhood. I mention Greenaway because I have heard so many times I can't recount from people never having seen any of his work tell me: "Oh! I saw this film, and everything about it reminded me of you!"

Personal Achievement: Impervious.

Satelite radio: Not sure what that is. I own no radio, nor any public media vehicle, save for the laptop upon which I now type, and I suppose, now, my i-phone: Neither of which I am fluent at using. I'm fed enough of it through my profession.

"Own Country:" Difficult question to ask. I don't feel as if I have my own country. I can say, though, that baring the middle east and the orient, where I would never wish to go, (I have been to japan: that's as far as it will go for me) I have been all over Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, and North America. (I've never been to Canada, though, so I suppose, it being larger than the US, that would make North America my area least traveled.)

What laws still on the books in your area do you find archaic, or draconian?

Not in my current area, BUT, I love this one:

A law banning women from wearing pants is still in effect in Paris, France. The law dates back to the 19th century, but is hardly ever enforced anymore. The law states that women in Paris are not allowed to wear trousers in general, but a woman who does want to wear pants "must present herself to Paris's main police station to obtain authorization." The law does allow women to wear pants when horse-riding or biking, however.

Do you believe in numerology?

I know people who do, but I am among those who don't.

How do you keep your emotions in check?
I don't. I should but I don't.

I don't know if I can answer how I keep my emotions in check, maybe it's practice. Or, I wonder, is it simply acting, does a person actually put on an award winning performance sometimes? Whatever the case, I'm not always able to keep a lid on things. I was watching the debate between our Provincial Leaders last night - and I know I couldn't be in that situation, politically, I wouldn't be able to be calm, capable and yet assertive in that situation. Nope, not me.

Have you ever acted in local ( or other ) theatre?
I have, and it's really a lot of fun. As much as I hate public speaking, I never thought I'd enjoy it, but it's another thing altogether, for me anyway.
Only acting I ever did was in High School plays

What inspires you to be a better person?

What is the most salient feature on your face?[/QUOTE]

My gigantic nose. "All the better to smell you with, My Dear"

Holiday: Pascha. (This Sunday.)

Life Swap: I don't think I would swap lives voluntarily. At any rate, when Death comes to call, it invariably leads you to another life, though it could be as a pigeon. Most everybody's life looks better from the outside looking in. When you land inside of someone via life-swapping, the confrontation of seeing that life from the inside looking out will always bring huge amounts of surprises, most of which are extremely disappointing.

Emotions in check: Not an huge talent of mine.....As best I can?

Better Person: Witnessing the world. My logic: If I am a better person, then I have done my part to make the world a friendlier place.

How do you deal with people who consistently break the established rules by society?
Depends a lot on the people, if they break beneficial and necessary rules, I'd most likely try to first amicably solve it, outside Court, and if not possible, eventually notify the authorities in charge, however, if they break an established rule which is illegal, obsolete, negative or inapplicable, I either do nothing or more or less agree with them.

How about your schedule for the regular working days during the week? What's the first task for the upcoming week?
Present a project that I've been working on for the past week.

If you had to have one of these straight, with nothing, which would it be?

Vodka, Rum or Gin?

My most salient facial feature? My eyes, though my nose would be the clear answer, were my eyes not unusually large and down-turned.

What adjective best describes my dark side? Sadistic.

How do I deal with the people that consistently break the rules established by society? I call many of them my family and friends, and I respect their desire to rock the proverbial 'boat', which is the dominant, repressed, moralizing paradigm.

What is my favorite soup? A perfectly finessed Vichyssoise.

Yes, I have. It was a very complicated situation, as these things often are - and it took a period of years, but - yes.

And, as to how I keep up with the latest technological advances? I read the news daily, and check into the headlines in science/technology as well, if something really interests me, I'll investigate further. For advances in products that can I can use personally, I don't get all that wound up about the latest electronics, etc. - mind you, if I'm looking to buy something fun like a computer or camera, then I do some real research into what's out there.

In an ideal situation, how much time each day would you like to be able to spend all by yourself, to read, think, have a long bath, or whatever?

How do you/would you deal with brutal police officers?

Hermitism won't get you anywhere.
