As they say in the legal trade, "Objection! The possibility of retirement in this economy is not in evidence."

Moot question in my case.

Is idealization of people healthy or harmful? And if it's harmful, who does it harm more -- the idealized person, or the idealizer?
It is a fine line between admiration and idealization. While admiration is wonderful, idealization has potential harm written all over it. No one, no matter how good is without blemish in their character, and the person who holds another is such, rarefied esteem, the idealizer, will, indeed, be disappointed in the long run. Hopefully, the harm suffered will be nominal, but in some situations it can be catastrophic, especially when the idealizer cannot separate the idealized, super-being from the real, flawed individual - one's fantasy continually subverts realty.

Hard to say other than stop it. I have a chl and would draw my pistol. Whether I fire or not, I don't know. I have my own daughter I need to raise. I'd hurt them regardless, prison would clear the rest up as they normally don't live long in jail.

However, I also received a huge bag of children's toys as a prize in a drawing, and I donated it to my church for distribution to the needy children.
I'm not quite sure which was more rewarding to me.
