Was going on basenoters? I'm trying to decide between these two fresh/soapy fragrances. Can anybody help me with the following questions?

Which cologne last longer?

Which smells better overall? I'm not asking which scent is more complex necessarily, just which is more pleasant for the nose

Which gets more compliments? I heard the ladies like both of these lol

I'd appreciate any help anyone could offer me. Thanks in advance.

I'd go with Chrome. I dont like any of TM's fragrances.

Mugler cologne hands down. Chrome is boring, generic, too popular, and it sort of stinks.

between those two, Mugler Cologne by far.

But if your looking for a fresh soapy fragrance, i really recommend Prada Amber Pour Homme

Lol at the father moment with jonny.

I was reading around and heard that Chrome Legend can be described as a mixture scent between the original chrome and mugler's cologne. Is there any truth in this statement? If so this may be the best cologne for me to get. I tried to edit the poll but it wouldn't let me, if you are able to, please include chrome legend when considering the options. Thanks everybody.

Chrome smell cheap to me.
Mugler cologne is an excelent summer scent. Get the Mugler, for sure

I voted for Mugler by a small margin. I don't know if either is really my favorite. I would have easily chosen Chrome Legend. It is probably my favorite Chrome fragrance. Not sure if I agree it is a combo of Mugler and Chrome, but it smells really nice IMO. Less harsh than the original.

If you aren't a "sillage" whore Mugler is the best scent by miles...

The only positive things i think about Chrome are longevity and projection/sillage... but it has an awful smell.

have both, prefer Mugler of course

Mugler Cologne of course ! You really can't offend a nose with this one (don't overspray, tho) and it has very good longevity, but it's quite close to the skin, so maybe doesn't project as well than Chrome.
Personally, I can't stand the harshness of Chrome, it really stinks a lot imo BUT I have to admit I heard a lot of positive reviews from the ladies about this one, so if you really like the smell... why not ?

Another vote for Mugler and a hearty recommendation for the body wash, which is very concentrated and will help make the scent last longer if you use both. If you want another fresh and clean scent, you can also check out Gendarme.

Hmmm.... I posted in this thread and voted yet my post is gone....my vote is still there. Weird, the post eating goat must still be loose....

I chose Mugler Cologne which I really like but I don't get into any of the Chrome line at all.

+1 on the try Gendarme, it's very clean smelling without any citrus, just soapy goodness.

If you got some money to spend you can try Creed Original Vetiver which starts very much like Mugler Cologne but finishes a bit more masculine, a nice vetiver bite in it while not getting bitter. It can be had for under $150 for the 4oz so it's not too bad on the pocket.

From a nose-pleasing standpoint, this is a close call for me, with Mugler trending upward/Chrome trending downward among my own personal tastes....as for "clean & soapy", I would go with Mugler.

I have never gotten a compliment wearing either of these, although I suspect Mugler might attract more in the long run.

Longevity was about average on me for both, maybe a slight lean toward Chrome

I Have Mugler Cologne and recently recieved a sample of Paul Smith Story; VERY similar to my nose could be worth a sniff too

Mugler Cologne hands down.

Sprayed it on myself after a workout at the gym, got dressed in a nice polo tee and headed out to meet some friends and got compliments left right and centre.

Love that fresh, out of the shower, effervescent appeal of the fragrance!
