Just bought Ambre Fetiche and Terre d'Hermes.

I blind bought Ambre Fetiche after hearing some of the descriptions and getting a really good deal. I, generally, like amber notes and I was wondering what should I expect?

Additionally, I sampled Terre d'Hermes and could not turn down a bottle for $46. I am looking forward to getting the whole bottle.

That's a fantastic buy on the TdH! I lucked into a buy like that, so I now have a backup. I really love that stuff -- one of the best fragrances of the modern era, I think.

Yes, the edt. I wish I could have obtained the Pure Parfum for $46. That would have been a great deal!

I also own Ambre Fetiche. I think it is best in cooler or cold weather, so this is a good time for it. To me it is a leathery scent with a definite labdanum presence, so one has to like that aspect for this to work for them.

I think you made 2 great choices!! I own both and regularly wear them. Three of my (other) favourite ambers are:

Amber Sultan by Serge Lutens
Ambre Precieux by MPG
Amber Absolute by Tom Ford

Ambre Fétiche starts off quite dry, then turns a little sweet on me. I'm yet to come across anything similar to Terre d'Hermés.
