I think I have a penchant for sweet powdery scents.....

Thread Starter
I am not entirely sure what people mean when they describe something as "powdery" but I think I have a vague idea. These are some fragrances that I think fall in to this powdery category that I love, so please tell me if I have the definition of 'powdery' correct.

Body Kouros
Lolital Lempicka Au Masculin
Dreamer
Le Male
Burberry Touch
Fleur Du Male (although not my favourite, I think this is rather powdery)

Based on the above, could you please recommend me more scents that are similar?

Thanks

Some that I enjoy:

Prada Amber
Amouage Reflection Man
Cedre by Parfums 06130 (smells like a niche take on Burberry Touch)
Sartorial by Penhaligons (somewhere between sweet and powdery and old school masculine clean)
Old Spice
Bois de Turquie
Ungaro II

Some that I really like that I consider 'powdery' and sweet are Dior Homme Intense but has a bit of spice to it, L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme which also has a bit of spice to it and one I just discovered Guerlain Heritage which comes off straight sweet powder to me. Another I like that is powdery but not really sweet at all is Burberry Brit for Men which I would call a musky powder.

None of these that I suggest would be a similar frag comparison to any that you listed above but are worthy of a sample if you are looking for powdery and sweet save for the musky powder I also added.

Be sure to check out Serge Lutens Chergui, it's gorgeous. Imagine a powdery, rich, natural sugar (brown sugar? sugar cane?) with loads of dried fruit. That's what it smells like.

Certainly, IMO. For the same reasons some think IO is similar to Old Spice (and, some say, Brut). It is actually the powderiness i enjoy the most in IO.

Boucheron Jaipur Homme
Guerlain Heritage

Also try:

Guerlain Shalimar
Lanvin Arpege pour Homme

Today I happened to wear Habit Rouge edp as my sotd and Shalimar as my sote. I see they've already been suggested, and I can only agree!

Back to Black by Kilian is another option which basically smells like honeyed tobacco and heaps of powder.

I have a feeling Amouage Reflection Man will be your grail.

Don't discount Brit for Men, please try it. I don't get any muskyness from it at all, just powery, sweet, spicy.

Sweet? Powdery?

Hammam Bouquet.

Powder rose nirvana.

Villoresi's Yerbamate is an interesting one. It has a light earthy, leafy green sweetness, and is powdery in a sort of Euro barbershop kinda way IMO.

+1 Diptyque Eau Lente - grown up comfort scent.

This man speaks the truth!

It is my grail (well, the closest I've come to finding one, anyhow).

Prada Amber really is another amazing powdery scent though. And Ungaro II, as well.. powdery and dirty.

Also, how could I forget to mention Amouage's Opus III. It is a powdery floral scent that is very deep and quite thick in texture and rather dry. With an interesting juxtaposition of waxiness and powderiness, this scent unfolds through its many many layers over the course of a wearing and just keeps revealing new beauty. IMO, a true masterpiece.

Well, I would suggest Tiffany for Men which pretty much outclasses everything in site. Also, check out Pierre Cardin PH but it's not as nice as Tiffany.
