Recommendations for long lasting PEPPER fragrances?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to buy a fragrance that has a strong peppery smell - not bell pepper, pimiento, etc., but rather pepper spice - but most I've tried can't sustain the pepperiness for very long. I'm hoping there are good fragrances out there with sustained pepper notes.

Any good recommendations (designer preferred over niche please)?

Marc Jacobs BANG is like pouring a pepper shaker all over yourself. bizarre, but probably right up your alley.

Le Labo Poivre 23 lasts forever.

+1 BANG & The Beat

Bang is a black pepper & vetiver dream (assuming you like that). Some people have said that it becomes a skin scent and almost disappears, but I've actually found it to have very good longevity. The deodorant helps a lot with longevity, too. It's got all of the great pepper notes of the edt.

The Beat is peppery, too, but I smell a lot of the violet leaves along with the pepper. Definitely has good longevity, too. As a fan of pepper dominant scents, I really like both BANG and The Beat. If you want straight forward pepper, I'd say start with BANG.

I tried D&G Pour Homme, but I didn't find much pepper at all. More tobacco than anything. Maybe my samples were bad?

+2 Bang. Beautiful frag, and with respectable longevity when not applied parsimoniously

A milder but long lasting pepper frag is Eau de l'Occitan. The pepper note, together with lavender, is respectably sustained in this fougere.

Cacharel Pour Homme is like an amped up version of Bang, I'd go with that.

I find Comme des Garcons Wonderwood similar to Bang. Might want to try that one as well.

Penhaligon's - Blenheim Bouquet too strong pepper notes for me.

This is what you're looking for, and you can buy at Luckyscent for $120.00 for a 100ml bottle. Here's Luckyscents description since it's better than mine.

Isos
Eau de Parfum
by Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561

The Scoop
In a word: fierce. A cobweb clearing dose of clove and mint leads to one of the most intensely peppery fragrances we have ever encountered. This is freshly cracked black pepper, strong and addictive. If you’ve ever asked the waiter to just keep cranking that pepper mill because you didn’t want that amazing wave of prickling scent to end, you will love this. A dry base of cedar and vetiver add a touch of earthiness and warmth, but mostly they add strength to the essential spiciness without adding a hint of sweetness. Austere and bold, this is all about the pepper and we love it that way.

Isos Notes
Ceylon cloves, Tunisian mint, myrrh, Madagascar pepper, guaiac wood, vetiver, cedar

^Cool! I like fierce (no pun intended).

My favorites from what I've tested are Hermèssence Poivre Samarcande and Marc Jacobs Bang. I probably prefer Bang for being just a bit more complex, woody, and mellow. Poivre Samarcande is an Iso E Super and pepper bomb.

This lasts longer than most think, and is my fave: Un Parfum des Sens et Bois.

It is ethereal but it lasts. Quite deceptive!

Funny you should ask for such in a thread, I'm all peppered out after what I purchased today. Oscar for men by Oscar de la Renta. Oh man, this is one intense pepper opening; it even trumps The Beat. As for it being peppery all the way through, I guess that varies person to person. On my skin, the pepper is lasting very long, I've had it on for about 4 hours now, and I'm still getting the pepper from the top notes, only far lighter. The opening has HUGE projection.

My only other recommendation, is Burberry The Beat. I prefer this to Oscar as it has more character. Oscar is a must try though. Inexpensive, and you can probably find it at Marshall's or TJM, if you haven't smelled it already.

Honourable mention for Tommy Bahama For Men. Very peppery and, when applied with a liberal hand, the pepper stays all day. Even into the next on clothes. Inexpensive, as well.

I get a lot of pepper from Montale Red Vetyver.

I find 212 men to be pepper dominant.
Shiseido Basala is great if you can find it.
Burberry the Beat is VERY strong on pepper but it doesn't have much lasting power.

MArc Jacobs Bang

Le Male Terrible has quite potent pepper note.

Try Versace Black Jeans
I think Guerlain Heritage has a light WHITE pepper note
Gucci PH is mostly cedar but I think it has quite a strong black pepper note, plus some incense which adds to the depth

maybe Banana Republic Black Walnut?

+5 Burberry The Beat.

1 million peppers screaming for a looong time.

Bulgari Pour Homme

has a strong pepper note and has deceptively long longevity. It stays very close to the skin though, so you might not like it if you like sillage beasts.
