For what it's worth, the one that I recognize most on women in my area is D&G Light Blue.

I know for a fact that No. 5 by Chanel is the best-selling perfume of all time, at least for women.

I'm pretty sure Light Blue is up there as well.....

Can't believe Black Orchid by Tom ford is not in the list.
It is the best perfume in the universe closely followed by Black Orchid Voile de Fleur.

^Best perfume and most popular perfume are unfortunately not the same thing.

The French list of perfumes doesn't seem to have many American perfumes, and I think that although many of them on the list are popular in the US, like Coco Mademoiselle etc. that a list for the US could contain stuff like Light Blue, some Donna Karan scents, more Calvin Klein's, or American designer scents, etc.

Also, I have never smelled Chanel No. 5 on anyone but myself and my grandmother. If it is the best selling fragrance of all time, shouldn't someone like me with a heightened scent awareness smell it every once in a while? I think that it is sitting at home unused on everyone's dressers.

TM Angel, JPG Classique, Chanel Allure & Hypnotic Poison. I also think possibly YSL Rive Gauche (esp amongst older scent wearers)

For bright, young things in the U.K. it would be some of the following (I have a large
number of nieces and God-daughters):-
Daisy, CK Euphoria, Caroline Herrera 212 Sexy, Ange ou Demon and Very Irresistible.

On more mature women (i.e. my non-perfumista friends)- EL Pleasures, Angel, Chanel
Allure Sensuel and one of the newer Pradas.
