A Sweet Tobacco Fragrance or A Sweet Smokey Fragrance

Thread Starter
Hey basenoters, I was wondering if any of you can recommend a fragrance that is either smokey and sweet or tobacco-y and sweet or both. I smelled a fragrance in the air and smelled like a smokey, tobacco, sweetness, it was great so I figured I can ask here to see if any fellow basenoters probably encountered something as such. I'd really appreciate the recommendations! Thank you in advance!

Btw, I just bought Salvatore Ferregamo Pour Homme and Im very impressed. What are your thoughts on it

Some good sweet tobacco fragrances include:

Bogart Pour Homme
Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque
Santa Maria Novella Tobacco di Toscana
Molinard Habanita
Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac
I would suggest Tabac Aurea by Sonoma Scent Studio.
Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille

Michael for Men by Michael Kors
Burberry London for Men

10 bucks - Bogart Pour Homme
300 bucks - Tobacco Vanille

I Love both. Colossal Lasting and Monster Sillage

Serge Lutens - chergui
I don't think Serge Lutens - fumerie turque is sweet.

The tobacco note is not really my thing, but I got it out of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme and Versace The Dreamer.

Tabarome Millesime by Creed (I have not tried the Vintage Tabarome yet) has a certain moderate, but undeniable sweetness to it
post #10 of 49
Costamor Tabacca - apples, fresh tobacco leaves, sweet and yummy (not the pipe tobacco though or smoky in any way)
for sweet tobacco:
versace dreamer, michael kors, azzaro ph in decreasing order of sweetness.

for sweet smoke, I would say bulgari black.

My favorite sweet tobacco frag has been Guerlain Tonka Imperiale lately. It's luscious. It's also completely unisex.
My favorites are Habanita & Chergui.

Another idea: tobacco absolute from the perfumer's apprentice, mixed with vanilla extract from the local supermarket. If the sillage or longevity aren't good enough, add a decent, cheap amber like Molinard's.

Habanita by Molinard semi sweet
Cigar Aficionado By Aficionado Fragrances sweet tobacco

For something sweet and smokey, you must check out Palais Jamais by Etro. A gorgeous, masculine tea scent, easy to find and inexpensive to boot.

Back in black by Killian sweet tobacco with honey and fruit

Gucci by gucci for men.

Chergui

I'm shocked the OP mentioned sweet smokey and no one has yet mentioned Pure Malt. Also for sweet tobacco, try John Varvatos Vintage.

Another very nice, somewhat sweet tobacco scent is Aramis Havana. It was discontinued for years, but was recently re-released. Not too expensive and easily found online. Check out the reviews, it's a perennial favorite here and a five-star fragrance in my book.

I love my Burberry London! It's wonderful! I really want Michael Kors! It's actually on my buy list! I saw one at TJ Maxx for 20 bucks and decided to buy it for the next day and when I went back, it was gone! I guess someone else knew what they had when they saw!
Thanks for your input!

Bogart is now on my buy list! TV by TF is great but a bit feminine. Oddly, I dont get monster sillage or longevity from it. Thanks for your input!

Two of my favs actually! The Dreamer is good, better for special occasions, but D&G Pour Homme is my bff! It's hands down one of my all time top 5 favs! The tobacco note is the sexiest thing ever in it! Thanks again!

Yeah, bvl black and the dreamer are gorgeous and I'd like to find some similar scents! Micheal Kors has been on my buy list forever and I'll be to check out Azzaro Pour Homme! I love masculine scents as well! Thanks!

I hear this one is too feminine. What gender would you say it leans more toward? I love the presentation though! Thanks again

Pure Malt! Oh yes, what a wonderful creation! I love Pure Coffee as well! This is why I own two bottles of each lol As for Vintage by JV, this one has been on my buy list. I get more cinnamon than anything but either way it's wonderful! Thanks again!

Yeah, a friend gave me a sample of this and I enjoyed it so much that I bought it. I get a very heavy tobacco and cedar more than anything but either way, it's flippin awesome! Btw, attractive older women follow me everytime I wear this! lol It's great!

These are the two best rec's

Over and over again, I have searched for that supposed sweet tobacco scent. Over and over again, I came away with a "meh". SL Chergui, Fumerie Turque, Bogart pour Homme, BK Back to Back, Aramis Havana, SMN Tobacco Toscanno and a couple of others that I forget....I just don't smell sweet tobacco. Maybe I can't remember as to how it is supposed to smell. But so far, London and Kors are the best and closest. I think that is it. SMN Acqua di Cuba isn't really sweet ( and its too powdery !).

Go with London and Michael Kors.

I know what you mean! Sometimes it's hard to find just that scent that youre lookin for. I own London and adore it and as for Micheal Kors, consider it purchased! Thanks again!

will also say that it might have been tom ford tobacco vanille

Tobacco Vanille, Chergui

Pure Malt is smokey and sweet, its very nice. I find John Varvatos original, 10th anniversary, and vintage to have a sweet smokiness to them
