Cinnamon/bubble gum smell?

Hello everyone,

I tried out Express Reserve yesterday, and while I thought it was just lame and average at first, in the drydown I noticed it had a slightly sweet interaction between cinnamon, spices, and some other things to create a bubble gum sort of smell, and I really liked it.

I don't normally like cinnamon, but I guess this was like a spicy bubblegum, Big Red kind of smell. Are there any other fragrances with a scent like this, but not too sweet?

Eau d’Epices by Andy Tauer

Eau d’Epices Notes
cinnamon, cardamom, clove, coriander, red mandarins, orange blossom, jasmine, orris root, incense, woody cistus iadaniferous resin, ambergris, tonka bean, vetiver

This is a unique and interesting fragrance. I recommend you sample it before you buy a full bottle.

Diesel's Zero Plus au Masulin, and to a lesser degree (less gum-like) Avon's Starring for men.

Serge Lutens - Rousse

I am not a big fan of this though.

Eau by Diptyque

Jean Paul Gaultier's Ma Dame is in the synthetic bubble gum feel. No cinnamon though.

Rousse is a great choice as well for Red Hots candied cinnamon.

fair votre choix

Did it smell like cinnamon gum? Or like bubble gum (which has a more fruity/pasty sort of smell)?

Wolfgang Joop reminds me of spicy cinnamon gum in a way Jaques Bogart's Witness doesn't.

How about Le Male Terrible? Although cinnamon is not listed it still smells cinnamon-ish to me. Bubble gum and spices are also there.

Paco Rabanne $1million for men.

A bit of both.

I have (unfortunatly) this bubblegum feeling with the last formulation of Cuir mauresque (50ml bottle), so it can worth a try..

I've never experienced a fragrance with this accord. I've smelled the 'cinnamon gum' similarities, of course with cinnamon prominent scents like Witness by Jacques Bogart, Five O'Clock Gingembre by Serge Lutens, White by Comme des Garcons, etc. And I've experienced the 'bubble gum smell' in the new Tauer Eau d' Epices and strangely Santal Mysore by Serge Lutens. But never both accords together, in one scent. Wow.

Friktion (Avon) now discontinued. I still have half a bottle of this smooth cinnamon gem.

Caron L'Anarchiste. And for bonus points - it's inexpensive, and it comes in a really cool bottle. Buy now.

Tous man sport is very close to what you are describing.

Aramis JHL is a not-too-sweet cinnamon scent that reminds me a bit of Big Red chewing gum.

Ambre Narguile is the best cinnamon I've tried that smells like the op wants.

Amen to that!
However, Grottola is looking for a cinnamon bubblegum scent. Ambre Narguile has a huge cinnamon note in it, but in a apple pie-ish kind of way. No bubblegum there, just mouth watering apple pie, delicious!

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot. A cinnamon bubblegum scent is something I've been looking for as well. The ones that is worth mentioning is Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf (only the first 5 minutes of the opening) and CK one Shock for Him (also only the opening, but this keeps the cinnamon bubblegum vibe for a longer time until it get's all tobacco-y)

1 Million by Paco Rabanne is also worth mentioning since it also has the cinnamon bubblegum vibe to it, mixed with blood orange. The problem from the first two fragrances is here as well, 1 Million just smells like what we both want for a short period of time, until a huge army of candy covered in leather enters the battle.

The search continues! I'll keep an eye on this thread meanwhile.

I think Spicebomb has a Dentyne Cinnamon gun feel to it. In fact my first review of it was this.

Fahrenheit has always reminded me of the smell of an auto mechanic at the end of the day chewing Big Red gum ... kind of hot as a concept, but not what I want to smell like.
