Sure. I'm looking for a "watery" type scent.

I love chrome.

Hello and greetings!

Have you tried them yet? They are different scents altogether. The best way is to test first, and if your nose fancies something, you can consider a purchase.

Price range?

The reason I ask is I don't want to recommend something like Creed Green Irish Tweed or Rance Le Vainqueur if it's not in the cards. I find that the higher quality frags may cost 3x as much, but last 5x as long.

Personally I would not buy any of them.

Some other suggestions:

Guy Laroche Horizon
Aramis New West for Him
Hugh Parsons Blue

Um, I really like designer scents. Niche scents are usually nice as well but I'm on a college budget so I cant really afford them.

CW doesn't strike me as a 'watery' frag at all.. It's actually a bit on the heavy side. Chrome on the other hand is quite transparent. Although, Chrome repulses me and smells like a watered down CK One mixed with paper. CW gets my vote for sure.. but I don't think it's fitting for what you're looking for.

Chrome is much more modern and elegant

I wouldn't go as far to call Chrome elegant but, it is modern. Chrome and Cool Water are quite different. One is a aquatic fougere and the other is a floral musk aquatic.
You should wear what YOU like best. Both of them last quite a while and around the same price range. I can't really stand Cool Water for too long so my choice would be Chrome.

Just buy both!

for what its worth, dsquared makes lots of aquatic woody stuff. may want to check them out.
also, based on a fellow bn'ers recommendation on another thread I tested issey miyake bleue yesterday, and it's a fine aquatic in my opinion.

They're both good but, between the two, I would go for Cool Water. It's deeper, richer and lasts longer.

Go with Bvlgari Aqva or Versace Pour Homme over either of them.

Out of those two though, I would personally go with Cool Water (or CW Frozen). Chrome just doesn't work on me. They are quite different though, so it depends on what you are really looking for.

Trust your own nose. Which one do you like better?

I would go with Chrome, but it's a coin flip....

Out of the two I would go for Cool Water. I would also recommend trying Bvlgari Aqva.

Chrome

Versace Pour Homme

They're both kind of dated in terms of trends. Chrome gets boring real quick and so does Cool Water. Might I suggest some stuff that's a little more modern?

-DKNY Men (2009)
-Bleu De Chanel
-True Religion
-Creed Aventus
-Bvlgari Aqva

my pick would be CW Frozen

+ 1 Mass, I love that DK with its tiny flowery heart and greens tones , a pity its poor longevity

+1 on Versace and Bvlgari Aqua. CW and Chrome is a choice between eh and eh.
