Midnight in Paris = Masculine Kenzo Amour?

Today I was reading reviews on different sites and I came across a comment on NST where someone said that Midnight in Paris is similar to Kenzo Amour. Do you agree? Kenzo Amour is one of my favorite fragrances on a woman so I'd be willing to blind buy Midnight in Paris, also because it is created by O. Polge. Is the Edp the better version?

Midnight in Paris = Bvlgari Black ... IMHO.

Never sampled Kenzo Amour but it would be weird if THREE frags smelled nearly identical.

Midnight in Paris is the love child of Bvlgari Black and Kenzo Power.

I like it much more than Bvlgari Black myself. I'm not familiar with Kenzo Amour so I can't comment on that one.

IMO, Yes.

Midnight in Paris is Bulgari Black with the roundness (completeness) of Dior Homme, e.g., nothing seems out of place. It's one of my favorite releases this year.

I still can't find a MIP to sample

Not similar, no. Kenzo Amour is a straight-up semi-industrial vanilla (quite nice, though, IMO). The vanilla in MIP is well blended in and of a different sort than Amour's.

+1 Best description of MIP I've seen.

The edp is deeper and longer-lasting.

All the descriptions make me want it so I think I'll buy the edp soon but I want to try it first to be absolutely certain.

The EDP version reminds me of Versace Dreamer at the opening, then a cross of Dzing and Bvlgari Black at the heart, and then there's the rich vanilla-benjoim base that may be what made the person think of Kenzo Amour. I think i need to test Amour again, i had a sample of this a long time ago and cannot remember enough to do the link between the frags. What i really enjoy in Midnight in Paris is that, while evocative of many scents the composition itself doesn't seem generic or a copy of something. And, at least on me, the edp is not too strong, but not light either.

I bought the edt + after shave balm for 48 euro.
In the really late drydown Midnight in Paris smells almost exactly like Kenzo Amour but before there isn't anything similar between those two scents.
Midnight in Paris develops a lot: from a citrus tea opening over a very floral heart to end with a sweet base.
It took me a while to appreciate it but the more I wear it the more I love it.

Longevity is great, projection average to weak.
