Millesime Imperial -> Not Unforgivable, but is Love and Luck.

I literally had a hard time distinguishing Love and Luck by ed hardy and MI today. Maybe it was olfactory overload (sniffed quite a lot), but upon looking closer at the notes of each, there is definite overlap.

These two smell way more alike than Sean Johns Unforgivable.

LaL projects like nuts and lasts quite a while too.

What do you think?

Sorry bro, olfactory FAIL!

Let the alcohol dry off the cards/skin/fabric before smelling them...otherwise the alcohol will just dry and irritate the trash out of your nasal passages...numbing the entire olfactory response.

How long did love and luck last? 6-8 hours?

I get pear note from Love and Luck, not melon.

It's not a bad fragrance at all. For me, it actually smells smoother than Creed MI. Some people obviously bash it just because of the Ed Hardy brand and/or its similar scent to their precious Creed MI.

I'm buying a bottle of this at TJ Maxx for my gf's little bro's birthday next week.

Easily 6 hours.

LaL is pretty smooth. I was surprised. I tested both MI and LaL on my skin, one on each wrist and especially in the top I got similarities. Like I said, there was a lot going on. I smelt at least 20 fragrances before spraying them on and smelled more as I went along. But their note pyramids have similarities, so I doubt they are 100% different. They do share something.

I can see people preferring LaL a bit more than MI at times. When you smell LaL, it's very direct and strong, where MI smells a bit more airy and light. Of course, LaL beats it by at least double in longevity and projection.

I think a casual nose would hardly tell much of a difference by a quick whiff. At the very least, they give off the same, salty aquatic fruity vibe.

I tried the two of these out last Thursday. I went to Saks and sprayed MI on one arm and then went to Von Maur and sprayed Love and luck on the other arm. The melon note in both is almost exactly identical...almost a perfect replica. The only difference I noted was that the saltiness was either absent or toned down on L&L. However, if you don't want to spend the extra $200, get Love and Luck. I hate to admit this because I do like MI and I despise Ed Hardy with a passion. However, if I am to be honest with myself I have to admit that Love and Luck is not a bad scent at all.

FORGIVE ME. I was definitely going crazy that night. I've sampled LaL a few times since and I really don't like it. I don't get any of the melon I thought there was in it. So weird. Reformulation??? Who knows
