all purpose warm weather fragrance

Hi,

I am about to move to San Diego from the cold New Hamshire, and I feel like a change in my fragrance wardrobe is in order.

I am trying to find a fresh fragrance, that will work well in warm weather, but also something I can wear both daily to the office and for going out at night.

Any suggestions?

I am currently thinking of YSL L'Homme, Gucci PH2, Guerlain Homme or Essenza di Zegna. I would welcome opinions on those, as well as other suggestions.

Thanks!

I should probably also add that I am in my 20s.

From your list which IMO are four good choices, I'd choose YSL L'Homme.

Thanks for the input guys! I will certainly give Dune PH and Versace PH a try. The reviews here look promising.
Any other suggestions?

I'd recommend Guerlain Homme L'Eau. It is fresh but also sophisticated and classy.

Acqua di Parma Colonia though it might be a tad flowery.

Bleu de Chanel if you don't want to think too hard.

I'd suggest Mugler Cologne and Terre d'Hermes but they might be too strong for "all purpose".

L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake. If you get it, don't go crazy on the trigger. No more than 2-3 sprays, its a fairly powerful citrus scent.

I'd recommend the AdP Colonia Assoluta. Classy stuff, and would work well for your purposes in SD.

Versace Pour Homme

No one is going to get offended by this and you can wear it practically anywhere.

A big drawback for people is longevity but I get 5-7 hours.

I've seen the 1.7oz at TjMaxx for $20 so it's definitely worth a try.

I agree with the earlier recommendations of Mugler's Cologne and Issey Miyake's L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme.

I would also add Angel Schlesser pour Homme for its interesting rice note and Helmut Lang's Cuiron, which is really quite soft for leather (more like "suede") and suitable for warmer climates to my nose.

Homme de Couer by Divine is excellent for warmer climates.

I used to live in San Diego, so I can imagine the following scents in that lovely environment:

Dior's Eau Sauvage
Miller Harris Fleurs del Sel (Hard to find, but if you can it's wonderful)
Colonia by Acqua di Parma
Patricia di Nicolai's New York (oddly enough!)

Enjoy San Diego! It's one of the best cities in the US, imo. It's beautiful, diverse, lots of good food, amazing weather, beaches, relaxed and friendly people, and it was rated one of the top 5 healthiest cities in the country. You'll love it! (Once you get over the culture shock coming from New Hampshire. I also lived there for a bit and grew up in New England.)

Best to you!

How about Cool Water? It's cheap, but does it do the trick or is it outdone by some of the newer colognes?
