We tend to be drawn to a certain frag group more than others and some less than others. Put down your favorite and least favorite fragrance group down just for the heck of it.

Favorite: woody and orientals

Least favorite: Fougères and chypre

Favorite: also woody orientals

Least Favorite: Gourmands....I can see the appeal, but the only one I ever wear is Rochas man. the others are just too sweet, and they smeel fake to me.

Favorite: Gourmand and Oriental
Least favorite: Floral and Chypre

In my mind the more official sounding "families," "categories," "varieties," or "types" of fragrances don't make much difference, and in fact I really can't mentally hold onto "oriental," "fougere," "woody," too well. So my categories are quite informal.

My favorites are vetivers and florals. My least favorite is gourmand and other sweet types.

Love them all but lately I noticed I am not craving for citrus and aquatic scents.

My least favorite: florals. To be specific TUBEROSE MONSTERS! I like some florals a good deal, actually.

I like most categories, actually.

It isn't the category that matters as much as the construction.

I also am not a floral guy either.

Highly favored: Woody orientals.
Least favored: Gourmand. I tried a very popular Mugler fragrance at Macy's a few weeks ago and I smelled like extreme circus cotton candy.

Interesting. I thought many people here favored the sweet stuff.

least favorite: gourmand

love: cypress juniper tar patchouli woods resins

Dislikes: Fougeres and Aquatics

Favorites: Chypres, Orientals, Woods, Gourmands, Spice, Floral

The only thing I truly cannot stand, even when well-done, is aquatics. Gourmand can be nice, if executed with subtlety, but I rarely like them as I find them. Beyond that, anything can be paradise. Notes I do not like are immortelle, "ozone", "white musk," vanillin, overdosed ionones, dihydromyrcenol, muguet, and iso-e-super, but it is indeed always a matter of dosage.

Love most except for those fruity, bubble gum synthetics that you tend to find in cheap corner store scents.

Me, too. I'm also not into aquatics. I'm more a dry woods and vetiver kind of guy.

Probably think gourmands are my least favorite, even though my exposure has been rather limited in that I haven't even found them to be interesting sounding enough to even seek to sniff out.

Favorites: Woody, spicy, oriental
Least: Vetitvers
Favourite: Oriental, woody and sweet including some gourmands.
Least: most fragrances with the word "sport" in them.

Favourite - woods/woody orientals
Least favourite - Florals
Favorites: If you look at my wardrobe, you will see I have a mix of everything. But I tend to like the "difficult" scents from each category.
Least: You won't find a lot of green florals, fougeres, citrus and aquatics.

Favorite - Fougères, chypres, woods, and a few quality orientals

Least - Gourmands and other various heavily sweet orientals being made today that usually smell fairly ridiculous on others.
