Banana Republic's Republic of Men?

Has anybody tried this cologne? It's fairly new, released in 2009 by Banana Republic. I have a friend who bought it and he claims it is the "best smelling cologne on the market". Although it does smell pretty nice, I have found little to nothing on this. Comments? Critiques?

I found it to be quite a "nothing" fragrance. I would not waste money on it.

My gf bought me a mini bottle of Republic of Men around spring last year. I'm not sure what its notes are, but it smells like a really good, expensive champagne. Another good thing about it is it lasts 8+ hours on my very dry skin.

I like BR Black Walnut - I sniffed Republic of Men, and got the impression that they took Black Walnut as a starting point and made it a little fruitier - champagne is a good description, actually. But not FBW for me, and especially since I have Black Walnut.

And here is a note breakdown:
Top and Heart notes: Clementine, Plum, Fig Leaf, Sambac, Rosemary, and Sage
Base notes: Crunched Walnut, Pink Peppercorn, Sandalwood, Cedar, and Creamy Musk

Not bad by any means. A little generic, yes, but definitely a complement getter I would say.
