Issey Miyake leau dissey pou homme.

I fear if it's strong there's no way of assuring you won't offend anyone. There's absolutely no fragrance that everybody will like.
That said, I used to get a lot of compliments at the gym when I wore Eau Dynamisante.
Why does it be strong? Are you looking for sillage? Lasting power?

New Haarlem
-- strong enough to cut through the cold, but gentle enough to other people's nose.

maybe Mugler Cologne, maybe Chanel Antaeus.
But is impossible to find something non offensive, always will be one or two that will find your fragrance too strong to his tastes.

New Haarlem is strong, and I get many compliments when I wear it even 6-8 hours after application.

hmmm. what kind of fragrance?? As gourmands go, Rochas Man and Givenchy Play Intense are very inoffensive gourmands, but Givenchy Play Intense is stronger on me and still very inoffensive

If you like vetiver, Encre Noire may be ideal. It's strong because of the vetiver, vetiver has a unique way of projecting without getting out of control. It tends to be much lighter in the air than up close. Firstly make sure you like vetiver though, and it works well on your skin, before blind buying.

I agree with this. I think it is naive to think there is anything that no one will dislike or be offended by. Some people just find strong offensive no matter what. How in the world could we know about what anyone else's tastes might be about something you wear--we couldn't know what you'd like much less what anyone else would like or dislike when worn strong on you.

Full Incense

What about everyone wearing fragances at the gym? it's just nauseating. A girl that goes to my gym use a very strong and sweet fragance (don't know what it is, probably an Angel ripoff or something) and when she starts sweating it becomes unstandable...

No probably about it.... it is one of the most offensive.

Guerlain L'Instant Eau Extreme (the EDP)
Tauer L'air du desert marocain
Creed Aventus

LDDM is the only one that's slightly risky to be viewed as "offfensive" if overapplied (which is very easy to do) but the other two should bring you a lot of compliments. Of course, YMMV.

Prada's Infusion d'Homme would probably meet those criteria.

Mugler Cologne or Rive Gauche

I have to agree with the "no such thing as non-offensive" comments. If something is strong, someone will hate it.
Some people have no nose or appreciation for scent at all.

Geir, probably. Nobody really hates the smell of chalky after dinner mints.

To me, the problem is not usually the strength of the fragarance, but the amount applied. People sometimes have a tendency to go overboard. Obviously, I'm a frag fan, but I have had to talk to a lady in my office about the amount of Poison that she wears. You can almost chew the air around her. She just doesn't get the notion that because she can't smell it on herself, it doesn't mean that no one else can.

Givenchy Play is pretty inoffensive. Doesn't project TOO loudly but has very good longevity. It's hard to dislike citrus, vetiver and sandalwood.
I find Guerlain Vetiver is very projecting without being offensive.
