Dammit Jonny, I'm not even 5 years older than you and your constant array of threads posing question after question....

.....Well, I think I'm beginning to love them.

Romance (I can't believe I'm doing this): Égoïste, Sycomore

I'll add one more category, Formal: Égoïste, Pour Monsieur Pour Monsieur Concentrée, Sycomore

Not my number one per se, just very versatile this time of year. You'd probably like it.

I simply choose Penhaligons not as a favorite fragrance house, but as one of the few fragrance houses who would aptly provide scents to cover all these categories, namely:

everyday fragrance- Opus 1870
office fragrance- most likely, Opus 1870 again or Blenheim Bouquet
romance fragrance- Endymion
going out fragrance- Blenheim Bouquet (on very formal occasions)

Another possibility would be Cartier, not exactly my fave house either, but very versatile in many ways

everyday fragrance- Roadster, hell yes, so fresh, so elegant at the same time, I could wear this everyday, any day
office fragrance- Santos, a genuine powerhouse, a bit of a "greed is good"-type
romance fragrance- Declaration
going out fragrance- Pasha or Declaration L'Essence, both, in very different ways, quite an attention magnet and all this in style, both frags have such grandeur and are not afraid to show it

I remember deciding that Hugo Boss was my favorite house awhile back. Since then, Chanel released a great one with Bleu de Chanel, but for now, I'll still give Boss the slight nod

Everyday: Element (brown bottle)
Office: Pure
Romance: Selection
Going out: in Motion

Wish I had tried the entire in Motion line. Maybe my list would be better. Even though I love the Boss frags, I don't think romantic ones are their strong suit.

Isnt there a certain period in ones time when the question "why" is everpresent?

Kiddin aside, good and difficult thread.

Dior

Everyday fragrance: Jules
Office Fragrance: Dior Hoome Sport
Romance Fragrance: Bois d'Argent
Going out fragrance: Dior Homme

Wow, that WAS hard.

This one seems to be one of the favorite Boss frags here. I got a used bottle off ebay some time ago. Something about that one just doesn't really do it for me. Maybe a bit too sweet. Maybe the apples just seem a bit overripe or something. I'd take Carlos Santana for Men over bottled anyday.
