Has anyone tries La Nuit EDP yet?

I know the EDP is becoming more and more available in the U.S., I'm wondering how it compares to the original. I've seen the EDP on fragnet, scentedmonkey and a few other sites. Any feedback/comparisons to the EDT?

To my nose edp is less synthetic, less fruity and kinda incense-y and yes, darker too. I find it overall much better than the edt, which I cannot ever wear.

As in the US, it's still quite difficult to get hold of in the UK if you're not in London.

I was able to buy an EdP at a UK airport just after Christmas.

Although I bought it blind, my previous experience of testing EdP vs EdT of the same fragrance is that I have always preferred the EdP. La Nuit is no different in this respect. My previous bottle of La Nuit had almost run out so I was going to replace it anyway, the only choice being Edt or EdP.

To my untrained nose - The EdP is less 'shouty' - less initial projection/ silage. The vanilla has been 'turned down' a bit, it lasts longer (as you would expect) and sticks closer to the skin. Overall, it has a more 'Gentleman/ mature' feel to it. I've just re-read all reviews of the EdT, and I think the EdP addresses most of the criticisms expressed there.

Summary. I'm 50, I prefer the EdP. Younger 'noters wanting 'romantic wear' may find the EdT more suitable.

True. Longevity IMO is much better also.

I really wish I knew what was impeding this from being introduced into major US stores (i.e. Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc.)
