If you could recommend me 3 fragrances from the Boss collection, which ones would they be...?
Boss No 1
Baldessarini/Baldessarini Concentree (if you want to count them)

There are not three worth owning.
I only like one ... I don't own it, though!

While I havent tried them all, Boss Bottled is the only one I still like.
Boss Elements is still my favourite, it's the most versatile.

I like the richness of Boss Bottled (Boss No6)

The mossiness of Dark Blue, makes it the most unique and interesting of the Boss scents for me.

Baldessarini I like a lot, but it doesn't last as long with strength on me as I'd like.

Renato

What about Boss Spirit?

Boss Bottled.

Hugo Energise also nice.

I like these also.....I also like Hugo, Del Mar and Elements Aqua.....Most of the new releases are very Blah!!!

I'm partial towards Hugo XY. I'm just a fan of transparent, sorta minty fragrances. So if you're a fan of transparent fragrances, that's worth checking out.

Boss Bottled (a.k.a. #6) is the best of the lineup, imo. Boss Elements, Baldessarini and Baldessarini Ambré are pretty good too. Haven't cared for the others I've tried.

This. Baldessarini Ambre and Strictly private are somewhat b/wearable too but i think they were issued when Baldessarini was already independent again.

All-time favourite is Boss Spirit (discontinued).

From what's available: Boss No.1

Whenever I see Hugo Boss fragrances mentioned I think of the old thread by MonkeyManMatt entitled Hugo Boss has left the building.

http://www.basenotes.net/threads/168...t-the-building.

I was once provoked by Dark Blue, but the conclusions of Petruccijc and The_Good_Life are my conclusions too.

Although I don't like this house overall, I like a surprising number of mostly older fragrances from them:

Boss Number One
Baldessarini
Boss Sport
Boss Spirit
Elements
Elements Aqua

Hi Gary,
I've got those too, but am not particularly fond of Elements Aqua.
I picked a big bottle of Del Mar the other day for $20, and while not enthralled with it, I like it better than Erolfa.

I tend to agree with you, their newer releases have seemed more like crowd followers to me. All are pleasant and nice, but not really compelling to me.

Baldessarini Ambre, Elements Aqua, Baldessarini
post #23 of 43
I like Boss #1, my father signature.

Also my brother signature Boss Soul its not bad at all.

And Boss n°6 deserves a try.
Boss Bottled. Do you agree with me Daniel of the BFF boys?
Haven't found one I liked yet.
I think that if i`d have three boss fragrances, they would be Baldessarini, Boss Soul and Dark Blue. But neither of the three stays more than 4 hours on me, so i don`t have and don`t see myself purchasing them in the future. It was funny, tough, that in the past i was gifted with a copy of Boss Soul that costed 20% of it`s price and smelled equal, and also had a better longevity than the original...

Boss spirit

Hugo XY
Baldessarini Ambre
Baldessarini

Baldessarini Ambre & Boss Bottled #6.
Select is Ok
Boss Bottled.
Hugo (the one Duc mentioned) and Boss Bottled, are the only two I like; although Hugo > Bottled in my opinion. Bottled is too sickly for me.

+1.
When I was new to fragrance I really liked Hugo Energise, not sure how would I feel now as I haven't worn it for at least 2 years.

My fav from this house includes:

Boss Bottled
Baldessarini Cologne (have yet to try the concentree version)
Boss No. 1
Boss bottled/#6 is worth a sniff
Boss #1's perfect for what it is, but many don't like that style.

I can't think of a third that's worth even smelling. and the above two i could (and do!) live without.
Boss no. 1, Boss Spirit, Boss no. 6, Baldessarini
post #36 of 43
Boss Baldessarini: But you'll find it in Baldessarini page, not Hugo Boss's page.
Boss Bottled

+1 (and, to the best of my knowledge, discontinued). Sadly, I can't get enthused about anything else from this house.
Boss No1
Boss in motion black
Hugo Dark Blue
Elements Aqua
Hugo

These are really not bad at all. Boss is bashed around here, but these listed I really like and posess, Hugo not though.
I have Boss #6 and I like it .I also have Boss Soul but havent worn it enough yet to get a good opinion of it .
Boss Bottled/#6
Baldessarini Ambre
Baldessarini
Hugo

That's 4, and that's all that has really impressed me. To knock off one, I'd get rid of Baldessarini. The flanker 'Ambre' is pretty good and serves a purpose in my collection, it's quite classy for its price. Boss Bottled, is irreplaceable, there's really nothing quite like it, it can project up to the 8 hour point for me, and the smell and quality are there from beginning to end. Hugo though, may smell a littler cheaper, a little harder to dissect notes, a little more refined, poor longevity and projection, but it has a place in my heart (lol) and gets a lot, and I mean a lot of compliments.
Hugo

I don't have enough experience with the Boss fragrances to have 3 favorites.
Boss Bottled, or Boss #6 (same thing). Really, this one is the best. You should not get 3 fragrances from this house. It, to be honest with you, is not that great of a house. Really, get #6 and move on.
