Worst cologne you've ever smelled??????????? - Page 4

Just sampled White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum - not the worst, but it's high up there.

I can definitely see why you'd say that. The first time I tried it, I thought someone must be playing a trick on me. It smelled like a combination of sweat-stained wool and a brewery. I still think it smells like that, but I've come to like it very much.

For me, the worst is Vraie Blonde by ELDO. I'm a big fan of the house, but I cannot keep that on my skin for more than five minutes before I scrub it off. I've tried many times to appreciate it, but I can't.

Kouros Cologne Sport, followed quickly by Terre d'Hermes and Green Irish Tweed.

Really? GIT isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's hard to imagine it being so offensive that it would rank as the worst cologne you've ever smelled! The other two I can understand, even though I don't feel that way about them myself.

Faherenheit, Ambrarem and CdG Eau de Parfum are my current least liked fragrances.

Ulysee by Vicky Tiel. Amazingly bad. Smells like some powdery mash of artifical fruit flavorings. I've pulled it out every now and then to see if I get it, but always the same reaction. I'd like to see morepeople sample it just to see what they think.

Brut 33 in a walk. A long, sweaty walk through an oil refinery hungover after a 6-day bender on cheap bourbon.

Secretions Magnifiques is the worst frag I've ever smelled. I instantly gagged and started to cry.

Honorable second place goes to Chaps - horrid stuff

Yes that happened to me too. But as bad as it was Secretions Magnifiques came nowhere near the hideous odoriferous crime committed by Fracas for Men by Robert Piguet (When you do a little research on this perfume...no canal water is the word for it, you come to learn the real sin that was committed in its creation.)

Kouros by light years!!!!!

There's an alfull lot of rubbish out there i agree! Worst i've ever smelled is dior homme/intense for sure. Horrid, feminine, sickly, cloying offensive excuse for a frag that would be more at home cased in plastic and placed under the toilet bowl to disguise the stink, although i think the smell of crap would be less offensive
post #198 of 221
ForFreddie sent me something called "Saddle Warmer" b/c he didn't want it and I was brave... the most nauseating fake peach I have ever smelled. I sent it along for others to 'get a whiff of' BTW who has it now?

I find GIT grossly overpriced, and over hyped, but it isn't offensive, except that it is talked about ad-nauseum

Montale Aoud Leather Lime

horrible bandages smell !
just awful.
Ciel Man by Amouage - all I can say that it smells like cheap peach scented hairspray
post #208 of 221
Montale Boise Vanille. God that stuff is HORRID
post #209 of 221
Attar al Oudh by Rasasi. No oudh in this; just a loud rotten fruit and soap opening, then dries down to a perfume-y, powdery scent that's anything but exotic. Imagine something like Mango Manga, but more rotten.

Gucci Guilty Intense!!!

hands down

I don't see how cool water can possibly be the worst cologne you have smelled!
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Private Blend honestly makes me wretch. I like tobacco based colognes but the sweet vanilla in this just overpowers and makes me gag.

Once sampled Skin Bracer, if my memory serves correct it smelled akin to creosote.

Like so many others here I think one of the worst, if not THE worst is

GREY FLANNEL

But I also don't like POUR LUI by Oscar de la Renta ... not that it's nauseating but it is too assertive and smells like a woman's perfume on the order of a synthetic and cheap version of Chanel No. 5

Oh here's an awful one - unbalanced, discordant notes, tries too hard to be 'cutting edge': LOLITA LEMPICKA (pretty bottle though.)

I see that you're a fresh as a newborn baby here Kampus Kop, but I have to a agree with you. When I smell Grey Flannel
on anyone (and that is often) I always feel sorry for that person, in a very patronizing way I will admit, even more so because GF users always seem so oblivious and deliriously happy. Maybe it's that Grey Flannel users always seem to use so much of it. Or many it's because just a little bit of it is already too much. As bad as I think Grey Flannel is I think Eau d'Issey is worse.

Say it ain't so Joe!!! . Givenchy Play Intense is one of my favorites and it almost always gets me compliments!

Its kind of funny how smell is a lot like taste, something smells great to me but smells bad to you and something that taste awesome to me may taste like crap to you!

Edit*
Forgot to add my own - L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Issey Miyake for men.
The one and only time I have smelled this (at Macy's) it smelled like vinegar and onions and I HATE onions. Perhaps I might try smelling it again to see if it smells different.

Insurrection by Reyenne Tradition this fragrance smells like a freshly sharpened No.2 pencil with the shavings.
Actually the worst of the worst ... but I'm pretty sure they are not available anymore - are those men's colognes and aftershaves that were popular when I was a little kid: Jade East (yuck!) and British Sterling ("so fine a gift it is sold in jewelry stores!"). LOL

I just recently got this fragrance and though a little strange at first it kind of grew on me... I kind of like it now!
Hi, Everyone. New here, but wanted to chime in.

I think I'd say Knize Ten is the most nauseating, with Cardin's Bleu Marine a close second. Olfactory emetics.

I recently returned from living Paris for two years and while there I discovered that Grey Flannel is marketed like a niche frag. And its prices are sky high.
Many will disagree with me, but Montale Dark Aoud. Wife and daughter thought it was dreadful too.

And to the guy in post #216, saying Van Cleef & Arpels PH... I can only say WOW! I think this frag is awesome, and sort of hard to dislike. But I suppose others might say the same to me about my hate of Dark Aoud.
