Huge white space at the end of many Basenotes pages.

Is anyone else finding a very large white space beneath pages in Basenotes recently? I have found the bar at the side of my pages is about 2/5 from the bottom of pages lately and it seems I can scroll through a winter wonderland until I finally reach the bottome of a given page. Is this a new bug?

I have seen what you describe, but I am not seeing that on this page.

Might be a new bug, can't say for sure. I remember seeing something like this a long time ago, but not for a while until just recently.

Not on this page Grant. I will take a screenshot of part of one when (and if) I come across another today. Also, the last post in the Thread, the one just above the beginning of the white space, seems to have a part of the post repeated. Not all the post itself but just the framework of the post lacking text from the poster and avatar, signature etc but still with the poster's name and a few other visible items.

OK..this was just below the last post in the Guess The Fragrance By The Picture thread at about 2:25 PM today 2/15/11. This 'phantom' repeat of my post just above it had the text but not all the frame of my post original, and had a mile of white space below it when I took this screenshot. I am using dialup here at my office so it took some time to capture the screenshot, get it put on TinyPic and then retrieve it for this post. In going back to the Guess thread after all that the white space below the phantom post had disappeared so I couldn't screenshot a part of it including the bottom part of the phantom post.

I've added a note in my bug tracker so I can keep an eye on it.

Is it just on forum pages or all over the place?

It is sporadic and seems to be only on forum pages. Tonight I found this one a few minutes ago. No white space below the posts here but the last post is phantomed as shown:

This phantom text/pic appeared after I edited my post. As you can see part of the post body has left the original post and is now visible below that post. (I am still finding white spaces of several screen heights when scrolled below the last post in some threads).

Hi Kbe!

If you get the phantom text thing again, would you be able to go to View Source in one of your browser menus and send the whole lot in an email to support@basenotes.net along with a pic if possible

No problem if you are unable, but it might help me work out what the issue is.

Grant I only have and use Internet Explorer. Support for View Source was dropped from Internet Explorer in Windows XP SP2 due to security problems. Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8 are not supported after Windows XP SP2 so no can do. Sorry.
