What do you think has the best longevity and is more special and unique perfume?
Which one is louder and last longer?

Eau De Guerlain

Another vote for Eau de Guerlain.

Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Basil, Fruity Notes Middle Notes: Cumin, Thyme, Mint, Lavender, Jasmine, Carnation, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood Base Notes: Neroli, Moss, Amber, Musk

The patchouli and moss in the drydown contribute a kind of chypre feel that gives Eau de Guerlain a measure of extra polish and elegance.

AdP. One of my favorite colognes. tenacious, elegant, and distinctive.

I admire the Guerlain, but longevity for me is dismal.

I love them both. But for me, Eau de Guerlain is my favorite.

How serendipitous is this: I had them both on yesterday and was thinking the same thing!
I think they're both fantastic. They both are bright and "loud" for the first 5 minutes, but like all eaus, they quiet down rather quickly.
Acqua di Parma has a wonderful, clear, floral heart of rose, and other flowers, that makes it very different from the more herbal Eau de Guerlain. I hadn't worn AdP for years and was surprised that it lasts much longer than I had remembered, at least 5 hours on me. But as a skin scent, mind you.
That said, EdG, because of added musks and moss, last a full day, albeit very quietly.
Both are ***** in my book.
PS: You might want to try the the Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta for a brighter and longer lasting version.

If you liked AdP Colonia but looking for something for a bit louder, try Essenza. To some it may not as good as the original, but i think it is quite nice and kinda a youthful side of a traditional.

I have try Essenza and I did not like at all, while the classic is magic

I'm a great fan of Guerlains Period...But in this case...First time I smelled AdP Colonia I thought "this must be what heaven smells like"
Couldn't choose--they're both awesome. AdP is a more traditional cologne with a strong, but dry rose component whereas the Guerlain is more of a citrus aromatic with a mossy/musky base.

Acqua di Parma is more of a classic Eau de Cologne with a lemon accent whereas Eau de Guerlain is a lemon verbena fragrance (think lemon drops). Out of the two, I'd pick Acqua di Parma, but if you want lemon verbena, Eau de Guerlain is the best out there.

Plus there is a strong rose note in ADP's drydown that I don't get in EDG. EDG has a quite unique caraway note that is not for everyone's taste (think cardamom, immortelle and cumin... you name it, although caraway is neither of the 3). EDG's name is misleading, it is not an "Eau" in the style of du Coq or Impériale (other Guerlain classic EDCs) but more of an EDT, it lasts much longer than ADP EDC.

Another vote for Acqua di Parma. I find Eau de Guerlain interesting - the caraway note makes it a bit unique - but prefer the more traditional edc, Acqua di Parma.

Yup! Eau de Guerlain is too much of a straight up lemon scent. Colonia has a lot more going on, it really develops on my skin.

definitely Acqua di Parma Colonia.

one of the best fragrances ever made.

Eau de Guerlain, however, is a low-quality con of a fragrance that supports blatant racism and hate.

Waiting on the flames from that one ^

I vote Eau de Guerlain for its lasting power.

I love them both, but on me Eau de Guerlain has the best longevity of the two.

Oh dear! Even if Guerlain was truly a company which supported blatant racism, which it is not, I disagree with your "assessment" of the fragrance.

totally respect your disagreement of my opinion of the fragrance.

however, life is more important than perfume, and Guerlain = Penn State.

That is an unfair comparison. You are talking about a single comment made by someone, not the repeated sexual abuse of many minors. You are being very unfair in my opinion. JPG is gone from the company earlier than he was supposed to be gone due to his horrid comment. The company did the right thing, including apologizing for the comment. I don't hold the homophobia of my friends' parents against my friends, just as I don't hold JPG's racist comment against Guerlain. I don't make excuses for his hurtful comment, but I do recognize it for what it was... an old expression that should not be in use any longer made by a person who hasn't come as far as the rest of the world.
