Shalimar Ode a la Vanille: More Masculine or Less Compared to Original?

A local store just got a shipment of Shalimar Ode a la Vanille and I'm considering buying a bottle. Is this limited edition better suited for men or less suited, in terms of maculinity and wearability as compared to the original?

Thanks!!

IMO equally less.

Equally suitable for men and women - just like the original.

I agree - this new version is easily unisex, as the original. It is more accessible, but not more gender specific.

Agree with above comments re. this one being quite unisex - I find it a bit 'quieter' than the original, more subtle, and the vanilla is excellent, it's airy rather than dense or sticky. I bought an extra bottle.

Very unisex.

Wow. Not a happy camper. That's too bad - I was hoping that it might get the same widespread acclaim/acceptance as the "modernization" of Chanel no.5 did. Still, I may like it. Octavian hated Bleu, and I've really grown to love that one.

Thanks for the tip.

I think it is "very unisex" (because to my nose it has an Armani Code thing going on at its heart), but I don't think that the original Shalimar is "daring" or "risqué" to wear as a man.
