Hey basenotes I want to bounce a fragrance with some notes I really enjoy and see if you guys have any thoughts as to what you think this fragrance would smell like. what fragrance do you think closley has this note breakdown? i am looking for something that smells like this.


top notes:
Tangerine, Grapefruit,

middle notes:
Violet, Champagne, Sea Water

basenotes:
Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Vetiver, Labdanum,

I cannot think of anything exactly like this, but:

For fizzy, fresh champagne I'd say the standard is Kenzo Flower (it doesn't have much moss/amber drydown though), which, according to Luca Turin, is the reincarnation of the old Royal Bain de Caron, now disfigured by reformulations.

Two excellent things that move from fruity-citrusy to floral, with a fizzy/fuzzy aspect, to more ambery mossy drydowns are 31 rue Cambon by Chanel and Promesse de l'Aube by Parfums MDCI.

If you are willing to toss chocolate and much tangerine sweetness in the mix, Missoni also satisfies most requirements.

I'm afraid a perfumer would consider a concoction as that a bit disgusting. Champagne (that kind) plus sea water is oysters isn't violet isn't oranges. The heavy all-You-can-put-in basnotes are conflicting with the top/mids. An orris centered floral oriental chypre marine with aldehydes 8-)

Those notes took me to this fragrance, which I am considering for the spring/summer:
