Wich one you Prefer?

Angel Pure Coffee

Angel Pure Malt

Angel Pure Havane

--

I go with Pure Havane. By far one of my favorite gourmands. But Pure Malt is trully unique and its a marterpiece.
Pure Coffee is the best IMO.
Haven't tried Pure Coffee. I'm not a fan of Pure Malt's wet, creamy dry down. I prefer Pure Havane's dry cocoa base note.
Well, out of those I have only tried Pure Malt, and only wore it once. I got a spicy/whiskey top and a creamy vanilla or tonka dry down, for the most part. I can think of 10 other cheaper fragrances that have those components, though none that are a direct copy of it. So to me, I didn't find it so extraordinary. Although pretty good, definitely not worth the hype it got, I mean it had its own forum...

If you wanna give a fragrance its own forum, give it to something epic.. GIT, Tobacco Vanille, Fahrenheit, Burberry London, even the original A*Men.. Pure Malt is a solid, well made fragrance for sure, but with all the hype it was getting, I was expecting much much more..
None of them are superior to the others. It's the same perfume with each one highlighting a different facet.

Nice collection!

Congratulations.

Its hard to chose just one, but if you forced, wich one do you will chose?

Pure Havane.

Pure Malt is good, but not great, and Pure coffee is too sweet throughout
post #8 of 54
I just can't get past the staleness of the coffee note in Pure Coffee. Makes it pretty unwearable for me.
Have all three. Prefer: Pure Malt
Which of these is the most wearable in the Spring/Summer?
I have owned all three and I love Havane the best, it only slightly edges out Coffee. Malt doesn't even enter the picture for me. The booziness combined with the intensity of the A*Men note in it just makes it obnoxious like the original. It gives me headaches and doesn't even smell all that great that strong.

What makes the other two enjoyable for me is the toned down A*Men note in them. It's there only as a hint mostly in the dry down, it doesn't ever become too imposing. With Malt it's a star of the show along with the malt and it just dominates the composition like the original.

It sorta makes me mad that these are so popular, yet they HAVE to be a limited edition. It's fine to make something rare so people are more interested in it, but once it's been established as something people like, I think it's time to make it permanent.

Pure Coffee has the same dry cocoa note but instead of the fresh tobacco note of Havane it has a roasted coffee note. To my nose these two share the most in common of the line.
Pure Havane, hands down.

Pure Malt is just straight-up too sweet.

Pure Coffee doesn't smell like coffee beans - it smells like coffee breath.

And A*Men itself..... YUCK!

Just my opinion

I have Pure Malt and Pure Havane. I actually have 3 backup bottles each. I might sell 1 or 2 of my Pure Malt backups simply because I like Pure Havane better.

Actually, I LOVE Pure Havane. One of, if not my favorite fragrance.
I only have Coffee and Malt and much refer Coffee. Malt's boozy top-notes annoys the hell out of me.
OK. I'm wearing my sample of Pure Coffee, fine scent but almost impossible to find.

So I just ordered Pure Havane, which I sampled and loved a month back at Nordstrom's. Every now and then I need a sweet, spicy type. Lately I have been craving them!

All the too sweet descriptions put me off Pure Malt, plus I have never sampled it for myself.
I really wish they'd find some limited quantities of Pure Coffee too
I hope someday, Mugler will consider rereleasing it.
http://twitter.com/#!/MuglerCircle read their tweets from today. Pure Coffee (apparently) is being re-released. I'll believe it when I see it though.
I prefer the original A*Men to its flankers.
1. Pure Malt
2. Pure Havane
3. Pure Coffee

Pure Malt and Pure Havane are loved equally here
post #25 of 54
If they are rereleasing Pure Coffee, they can put my name at the top of the list I'm definitely buying it.
ya definitely will be trying pure coffee if it's re-released.
i'm in a coffee craze state these days
Pure Havane is easy to love
Pure Coffee is unique
Pure Malt is meh
I like Pure Havane more than Pure Malt and Pure Coffee put together.
From this list, I'd go with Pure Havane anytime
post #30 of 54
Pure Havane hands down. Its crazy how in this thread the general consensus is pure havance even though the hype of pure malt is so rampant. I personally dont think its warranted. Pure Malt is nice but the caramel is just way to sweet on my skin.
sweet, I just broke the tie between PH and PM! I like PH and PM very very much, but, I tend to side with PH because I find it more unique and it was actually the first of the A*Men flankers I tried and enjoyed. It caused me to seek out PM and PC, so, I have a soft spot for it.
First of all, I think Pure Coffee is a little overrated. I really like my coffee to be a latte or cappuccino with frothed milk, vanilla chocolate, etc. I kind of just get an ordinary "drip coffee" scent from PC.

As far as PM and PH, it's very hard to choose, and I won't at the moment. PM is more masculine, PH is more gourmand. I used to occasionally get a rubber note in Pure Malt, (somewhere in the midnotes) but don't seem to get it anymore.

Hi guys!

If it is any use to you, the Sephora website in France (.fr) has both Pure Malt and Pure Havane in stock at 71.50 each. I ordered a Pure Malt and had it sent to the UK. They wrapped it in a nice magnetic closure gift box and sent the 3 samples I chose during the order process.

The costs were-
Fragrance: 71.50 less 10% as I found a discount code for Sephora, so really 64.50
Shipping: 15.90
TVA (the French equivalent of VAT) was included in the total, but was quoted in the invoice.
Total in uros: 80.40

I paid on my credit card and on the date of the transaction this was converted to Sterling, so I paid £67.22 all-in.

Because it is classed as flammable contents, they will only allow it to be sent via ground methods, not air mail. You don't get a choice in this on the Sephora website, it just happens. Anyhoo, it only took 4 days for mine to arrive.

I hope this is useful to you, as it is much cheaper than using eBay. Though I can see this possibly making some unhappy!

By the way, I have no connection to Sephora.

Pure Malt
Malt. I may rate Havane higher but Malt is more unique and fun to wear imo. Havane is safer though.
Pure Havane for sure
I've always like Pure Coffee the best. It's not as sweet and despite the name, it has places more emphasis on patchouli than the others.
I only have Pure Malt and Pure Havane, unfortunately, but if I had to pick between those two I want to say Pure Havane because it's a bigger departure from A*Men.
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum but I work at a department store, yesterday we had our fragrance school. It looks like Pure Havane is PERMANENTLY coming back. They spoke about the upcoming Aqua Chic summer editions and wiped out a bottle of Pure Havane. And said that, the demand is high and has been selling very well that it will be returning to stores and will be added to the line.
Never tried Pure Coffee..off the remaining two I'd go for Pure Malt

Can you say which department store you work for?

Press 1 for Macy's/Nordstrom/Neiman Marcus
Press 2 for Saks Fifth Avenue/Barneys/Bergdorf Goodman
Press 3 for other
Press 4 for I'm not in the US

You can still get Pure Havane from MuglerStoreUSA.com

Pure Havane to me.
I have one 90% full tester bottle which I'm using and one full back up bottle, now I'm considering buying another back up!
Pure Malt is the best with Pure Havane as a close 2nd. Never tried Pure Coffee so I dunno about that but I dont think it can beat Pure Malt.

Yes, true enough. But I was/am hoping to see it at Macy's. I've got some gift cards for Macy's and I get gift cards on a semi-regular basis. I only like to use them on fragrances if I know I can't get a better deal elsewhere though, and this would be the perfect opportunity.
Havane has the most depth and character to me. Malt is good, I just love the nice cherry bonus and body that Havane delivers.

Sounds like they picked the best one, how strange!

For those interested, Pure Havane is now available at both Macy's and Neiman Marcus (at least online):

I love both Malt and Havane the same, but Coffee seemed nothing special to me.
Have all three. PH is my no. 1.
Pure Malt
If I could give 10 votes, I would give them to Pure Havane.
Pure Malt and Pure Havane are close, but I find Pure Malt more interesting and less sweet. I myself don't find both worth owning unless you are a collector.
