Cheap Summer frags?

Thread Starter
Summer is coming, and it gets pretty toasty in Southern California, so im putting away the gourmands pretty soon. What do you recommend for the summer, thats not too expensive?

I already own Chrome and Chrome Legend, and thats it honestly, really need to expand my collection

Thanks

There's gotta be a thread about this. Do a search, but my recommendation is YSL Live Jazz. It's inexpensive and lasts a long time.

Monsieur Balmain as well, if you like lemon.

And the cheapest is Adidas Fresh Impact. Not bad at all for $7

There's a coupon for 10% off on the front page of that site.

Finally, if you're just at home in front of the fan, Florida Water or 4711 will cool you down and are incredibly cheap. Short lasting, though.

Eau de Lalique is nice.
Nautica Voyage is also pretty good.
I am thinking about buying Mugler Cologne.
I sprayed it on a strip a week ago and I can still smell it on the strip
To me it smells good.

I've heard good things about Mugler, but have yet to get my hands on a bottle. I love Original Vetiver by Creed which it's always compared to. I'm considering when i run out of OV to make a purchase of the Mugler.

As mentioned, Mugler Cologne is cheap!

Any of the Tommy Bahama bottles are very good and can be had for $20 at any TJ Maxx or Marshalls for a 100ml bottle. Original is a peppery, slightly boozy, and slightly woody summer scent. St. Barts is more "summer beachy" with lime and tequila. Very Cool is a bit more fruity and almost has a bit of rum to it. Depends what you like. If you want a gourmandish one that's wearable in the summer, try RL Double Black. Mangos, coffee, a bit of spice, not overpowering or cloying, wearable in the summer.

Nautica Voyage is great, a softer version of Platinum Egoiste.

Swiss Army Altitude is also one with honorable mention.

I agree with many suggestions so far, including Monsieur Balmain, Live Jazz, Mugler Cologne, Swiss Army, and especially Unbound by Halston (Acqua di Gio was never so nice to your pocketbook, and believe me, Unbound is definitely AdG's doppleganger!).

I will add in:

Reaction by Kenneth Cole
Claiborne Sport by Liz Claiborne
Lanvin L'Homme
Blue Jeans by Versace
Chemistry by Clinique (but you gotta like ginger!)
Rykiel Homme by Sonia Rykiel (especially pleasing if you like violet)

All of the above can be had for reasonable prices.

Enjoy! =)

Where are you getting Mugler for cheap? I'm seeing it $40-$60, which isn't all that cheap in my book. I'd really like to test this one out, but not for $40.

I'd like to know this, too. I haven't seen it cheap.

Well it's £30 for 100ml. That's around half the price of most frags. Do you mean dead cheap?

Hugo by Hugo Boss. It's inexpensive and smells great. I've gotten a number of unsolicited compliments with this one.
Does Monsieur Balmain smell dated?

Because I'm looking at it over at Fragrantica where it says, "People who like this also like...." and it's Paco Rabanne, Giorgio For Men, Eau Sauvage, Antaeus, etc. And while I'm not knocking them, they're not the most modern smelling group of men's fragrances either. So I'm wondering, is MB in the same cohort?
^ In my opinion, yes. It is straight up lemon all the way but it does have a vibe going on that dates it a bit.

I've owned quite a few of the inexpensive summer fragrances and Live Nazz was my favorite. Long lasting, received plenty of compliments, unique and great quality.

I would mention others, but most are already suggested already.
