When you want to smell like luxury, what do you wear ?

Thread Starter
Dont have many luxury scents in my wardrobe and was considering adding something that is meant for those special occasions. Its not something that I can actually define other than a "luxurious" fragrance that is very unique and smells of opulence. What do you wear that fits in this category, if any ?

For me: It's Gengis Khan.
I go for the Gold, Amouage that is.
Derby by Guerlain
Amouage Jubilation XXV
Amouage Gold
M by Puredistance
Duro by Nassomato

Save for Gold, the rest of those perfumes just make me feel masculine, mature and refined(?)

I like Boucheron Pour Homme eau de parfum.

31, rue Cambon by Chanel

I prefer it 'understated' rather than 'opulent'.

I still like MI...although, sometimes a more "mature" scent makes me feel more..."established" let's say. Such as Tuscan Leather or Pure Distance M... I don't have full bottles of those two though, so I don't get that feeling too often right now.

If it wasn't about opulence I would rather recommend a simple and quiet scent. Atkinson Lavender for instance, not "fresh" though. The more promissing a certain situation seems to be the less complicated my frag should be. I really don't like the distraction that a variety of strong frags altogether in a room can be. People tend to overapply their treasures and accidentially make a mess of such occurences.

Like Kevin Guyer and so many others said, Amouage Gold is the last word in luxury and opulence. For better or worse.

If you want something more versatile and urbane but still luxurious, Nicolai's New York is a good option.

If you want something relatively inexpensive but still want to smell like a million bucks, check out Habit Rouge or le Troisieme Homme.
Richard James Savile Row EdT does that for me.
Ungaro III ain't bad and dirty cheap to boot, the proof you do not have to spend a fortune to smell luxuriant.
Amouage Reflection Man
Almost any niche scent, although there are also several designer scents, which smell like pure luxury to me, among these Chanel pour Monsieur, Eau Sauvage, Givenchy Gentleman, Bouchreon PH, Azzaro PH, Esencia Loewe, Versace l'Homme, YSL pour Homme and many more

something discrete. certainly nothing that shouts, even if it shouts 'luxury!' because that's over the top and lacking elegance. and what's luxury without elegance?
From my wardrobe, my first thought was Guerlain's Heritage edt. Just georgeous and luxurious.

You shouldn't be. Amouage makes some very luxurious smelling fragrances.
