Lovely pictures Mr.Reasonable.

Thanks, chaps quite enjoying finding connections, however abstract, in how I actually relate to the stuff rather than just lumping them into 'notes'. Still working on the Panty Dropper and Master of the Universe collections, (not mutually exclusive, of course), I'm sure they will be eagerly awaited by the throngs here.

Or not

Wow really nice collections you guys have.
I love these threads! Makes me feel like a kid at Christmas :-)
These collections are mouthwatering. Makes my collection seem hugely inadequate. I've only been buying fragrances for about a month and a half though...since I discovered basenotes and fragrantica I've been shopping a lot...lol

3 more in the mail... YSL m7 vintage, Davidoff Zino Davidoff vintage, and Givenchy Play Intense

Am I off to a good start?

Thanks S, family pictures are a lot of fun to think and arrange.
Mr. Reasonable - Love your pictures...love the group shots!

Alfarom - Fantastic! Really starting to get a feeling for how black and leathery your collection is. Plus all the Comme des Garcons...

Danatru - Off to a good start. There's nothing quite as eye opening or fun as the start of discovering this world. Enjoy it!

Thanks P, I've taken those shot for another "fragrant" group and they were meant to have a common denominator. Yes, dark fragrances and leather are two of my obsessions as well as vetiver and incense but I'm currently thinking about other family shots. Maybe something more light-hearted such as "animalic bombs" or "heavy-hitters" LOL...maybe a floral themed one or a vintage. I don't want my other children to feel neglected

Fragrance porn at its finest.
Mr. reasonable's collection is outrageously reasonable.
And alfarom really does have power where he needs it.

Yeah . . . it's all fun.

OMG I just died.
To think I keep my sole bottle of this so close to my chest and only spray a smidge everytime I use it.

I've never seen those be available on his shop a year ago, Why?, it not fair
...anyway I believe your collection is so much more interesting, I think I've seen KarmaKamet one there.

I asked him if he has any other Amouage not listed on the site and he said he has these 2 masterpieaces so I order some decants.

Noir de Noir is still available on Tom Ford Page of the site.

By the way, sometimes Kiatbkk sometimes posts his newly imported goods as his SOTD in his forum, recently I have ordered Rose 31, Black Aoud and Dark Aoud from him, they are not listed on the store yet --he also has Musc Ravageur.

I am still waiting for him to import some scents that I do not have courage & money to buy full bottle due to their cost like By Kilan, Mona di Oro, etc.

KarmaKamet Single note perfum oils are decent and long lasting, I have Black Coffee, Tobacco, and White Musk ones.

L'Artisan Parfumeur

P.S. I make no claims to any photo skills, just an iPhone

Lorenzo Villoresi

Incensi, Uomo, After Shave, Yerbamate, Uomo Profumo, Spezie, Acqua di Colonia, Shower Gel, Sandalo

I met Lorenzo Villoresi in Shanghai early 2012 and he very kindly gave me a bottle of Uomo and ancillary products - it was a delight chatting to him. Found this interview which might be of interest to anyone who wants to get a feel for how he does things:

Thanks

I put a few years in finding the ones from a few select houses that I like and now, apart from the odd Guerlain, I'm pretty well done. Figured it was time to draw a line under them, so to speak - grab a pictorial record.

Thanks, it took some time to get! I think since Pure Shot, Chili & Leather have received such mixed or plain bad reviews, I'll probably never expand on these (unless of course Mr Mugler decides to branch out and offer us all something new).

alas, never tried it, but I do know it's sort of an icon. Actually I'm glad I've never tried it because then I might have had wanted it so bad and it's discontinued.

alfarom, I'm curious of what you think of the differences between the formulations of the Knize Tens.

I often do.

lt was your setup that inspired me to do this, if I am remembering correctly. I think you used a deeper cabinet and tiered stands on each shelf? I want more LEDs now!

Not pictured is my Straight to Heaven by Kilian. It's on top of the case. The fragrances are under lock and key inside of a spinning case actually meant to hold watches at a Jewelry store. I bought it as the business was closing, and thought it would be an awesome display case. Also helps me not acquire too many, since I have to narrow it down to keep them in there!
