Is Bulgari Black a vampire?

I mean , BB comes in a package with transparent plastic, letting the light affect the bottle .Should it be kept in a dark place to prevent light corrupt it?

I am really deceived with the longevity and projection of BB. Maybe it's my bottle. It was very hard to find it in the shops of my city , only one of them had a remaining bottle in its shelves. When I bought it I thought " mmmm maybe this bottle has been here for some years, and with the transparent plastic...."

One last thing I want to know: can electric light affect the quality of a fragrance? (I know sunlight and heat can do it)

I might swap my Bvlgari Black soon, I wore it recently, and couldn't stand it. Worst scent in my collection. Decent opening, dry down stinks

As far as I know, electric/artificial light
is nowhere near as damaging to frags
as sunlight is. Corect me if I'm wrong!

You're right, Duc! Ambient incandescent and fluorescent lights don't pack the wallop of sunlight. They do affect frags in stores, somewhat, but it's mostly (from what I've observed) changes to dyes that are used to carefully control the color of the juice. Some frags in open testers will change color noticeably after weeks of exposure to light in the store.

Not to go off-topic, but I should mention that this isn't due to the fact that it's artificial - just intensity and wavelengths. Laboratory photochemical reactions are typically done with strong UV lamps - but occasionally they are done with sunlight!

I bought Bulgari Black from Sephora, where it had likely been sitting out for at least a few days or weeks on the shelf. However, I've noticed that my local Sephora tends to put out only one or two units, and to keep the others in the drawer. I think it's mostly because it's a slow seller, and the box is big and takes up shelf space - but still - it helps.

I love Bulgari Black, BTW. My juice is great, and I've noticed that very old samples, minis, and atomizers that I carry around have never shown any degradation of odor. Different frags have different susceptibilities to photochemical degradation - I wouldn't be surprised if the QA people were consulted prior to committing to the packaging, and that BB's unique transparent packaging got their stamp of approval.

Surprising.. I love this scent, and it's almost the other way around for me. I love the middle and dry down. Sometimes I don't like the opening, but sometimes the rubber smell is actually nice.

I love bulgaria blacks opening and especially the drydown which is amazing. The middle notes cam be difficult at times.

I LOVE Bulgari Black, but I can understand why somebody wouldn't.

I hate the rubber, and love the rest.

That rubber made the scent unique, but not for me.

Fahrenheit is the same, i hate that gasoline, impossible to wear to me. The vintage luckly dont has that much gasoline.

I want a BB without that much rubber!

I bought a small mini of Black a few years back and thought it was awful. 2 years later after falling in love with gourmands (especially the Mugler line) I decided I would try Black again. Second time around is a totally different experience and I absolutely love it. It's more of a smoky vanilla and even though I can still relate it to rubber there's something about it that makes me want to smell it. It's an olfactory mind fuck that you either love or hate. I personally think it's a masterpiece.

God knows it can't be any worse than what YSL did with the full on M7 marketing. "A man and his penis! Brilliant! Hey why isn't this selling to straight guys?"
