Can't smell Molecule 01 nor Molecule 02 :(

Got samples of these. Can't even smell them. Disappointment! I know they're supposed to be simple, but so simple I can't detect it?!

Anybody else have experience with these?

I can't remember M01 & M02 but I do own a bottle of M03, which smells nothing, even after some generous sprays on my chest! Pretty much the same experience as yours. Bit of a disappointment. Just wonder if Escentric 01-03 will fare better!

Some recent research has shown that everybody has blind spots, ie is anosmic to some molecules most other people are able to smell. So perhaps you've hit your blind spots.

That said, Iso-E (molecule 01) is not very strong, it's a base note that doesn't have a sharp profile, it's a skin scent, more a sensation (somewhat salty, somewhat sparkly, light woody) than a precise smell. It may also be that the quantity in a vial is too small, or the skin is too cold. If you happen to be in a store, try spraying and see if you can smell that. When I smelled 02, I definitely smelled it, but I was fatigued, so don't remember well. I haven't smelled 03 yet.

I actually smell very well M01 with 3 sprays for long hours and it's very persistent but never aggressive. It surprised me, indeed, since a lot of people tell it vanished then came back again but I experienced a continuous flow, and I don't consider myself to have especially a good nose, yet.
People can perceive same molecules in different ways, and even be anosmic to some, maybe you're part of the 0,0001% people who can't smell both Iso E Super AND Ambroxan.
If you have the chance to try them again from a different source, do it, maybe you just had bad samples, but I don't really think that's the reason.

Coincidentally i smelled it yesterday at Collete and could not smell anything either but i had just smelled the CdG 2 series ( the original, 2 , white and a 3rd limited edition). I'm guessing I was pretty fatigued olfactory-wisely then to detect such a faint odor.

It's absolutely normal. You can't smell it all the time but other people yes. ISO-E-Super (the main component of Molecule 01), as a main ingredient, has a clean but strong "invisible" sillage (so be carefull with overspraying it, 3 or 4 sprays are ok). In my personal experience "Molecule 01" is my most complimented fragrance (people stop me on the street to ask me what I'm wearing).

You need to apply a good amount to the skin and leave it there. The chemicals will react with your body heat and you should start to get the picture. You won't get much from the vial or off paper and you need to give it time on the skin to get going.

I can definitely smell Molecule 01. It's quite strong actually, then appears to fade...but it's still there!
