My ocean scents are this, erolfa and sel marine. Of the 3 this smells the most like the ocean. Imagine you are walking along a rustic beach on a cloudy cool day, and the sea smashes against the...
I didn't like this scent at first. I found it amateurish and a bit redundant. I gave my sample away to a buddy that's a womanizer. End of story.
I walk into Scent Bar looking for Wode by...
The lemony opening reminds me of old people. - it's not unpleasant and smells fresh and clean but I just can't past the smell of the beige bowls club brigade. After a while the vetiver comes...
Armani Code é um perfume para estigar as mulheres, profundamente elegante, com fixação boa e projeção na medida correta, discreto mas é bem marcante. pena ter muitas cópias por ai,mas esse é o...
The spices in this are very Christmassy making it a good choice in winter. The opening is a little sweet in an original santal sort of way but after an hour or so it mellows out. I've worn it to...
Slower than molasses trying to flow uphill on a cold day.
Yeah, much as I like it, this site is becoming very slow and troublesome... with these stupid error messages whenever I try to post. Saying I've double-posted when I haven't, saying I've tried to post more than once in 30 seconds when I haven't, posts not appearing, etc., etc.
The site is running great so far this morning. It now seems faster than it has ever been. Thanks to Grant et al for addressing the problem.
But we've had fixes in the past that were only effective temporarily. It has usually been a matter of time before the same problems cropped up again and again. I hope things are really sorted this time.
I cannot reply to a thread in the Male Fragrance Discussion board. I type my reply in the Quick Reply box, and all I get is another page (the full Reply page) telling me that my reply must be over 3 characters (which it is). If I retype the reponse in the full Reply box the screen just goes blank.
Also, although the site has performed quite well today in comparison with the past several days, with pages loading quickly overall, I do experience the occasional lag in loading.
So we're still having some problems with the site. It ain't over yet.
I'm trying to be patient, but I have 20 reviews to put in and a Blog, and It averages 5min. of wait time every click of a mouse button...ARG! I have been at it off and on all afternoon yesterday, and all morning today.
So far so good this morning (Eastern Time, US), but I noticed I lost 15 posts. After this, my actual post count should be ....
2906 (not 2891 as displayed on the left).
Consider yourself lucky. In the last Website fiasco about a half year ago, DustB lost more than 2,000 posts in one night.
So all the "sloooooow " and "what's with the website" threads have been merged ?
Thought it was a bit better a few hours ago but guess I was wrong.
It'd be quicker to drive round to every Basenoter's house and just tell them what I wanted to say.

Yup, I remember last year some members lost thousands of posts. I'll lose some privileges if I'm down to below 1000. I think I'll cry if that ever happens to me. :-P
My concern is for the hundreds of reviews and "fragrances tried/owned" data I have stored on the website. It is the only record I have of all the hundreds of frags tried/reviewed in the past several years...I guess I had better save them on my PC...
Hello! Just wanted to let someone know that the bsaenotes site has been so slooooowww for the past 4-5 days. I can't get anything done or it's almost impossible to post!
Did anyone feed the hamster powering the Basenotes main server recently? It's really bad again tonight and driving me nuts. Has there really been no word from the admin team?
